We've eaten in once and ever since have been lazy bums, ordering delivery. It's in the neighborhood and therefore really close, but on nights like tonight (no energy, it's raining outside, insert-any-excuse-here...) the fact that Chef Liao offers delivery is a major bonus.

First time, I tried the Lemon Chicken and hubs ordered the Mo Shu Chicken; we split an order of Hot & Sour Soup. While the flavor of my lemon chicken was great, it was breaded and fried and all my workout efforts for the week were for naught due to the nutritional overload of my dish. Hubs really enjoyed his Mo Shu, to the point that it is the only dish he orders from here. The soup was phenomenal, but a huge portion. If you're just one person plan on leftovers for at least 3 days, minimum. Nicely spicy and really good.

Next time, I channeled Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally and became, sigh, one of THOSE people. The ones who order this but hold that, and can I have that other thing on the side? And can you substitute this for that? Okay, not that bad but when we placed our delivery order I asked if they could make the lemon chicken not breaded and not fried. No problem, they responded. WOO HOO! My delivery lemon chicken was absolutely delicious but healthier for me sans breading/frying.

Tonight, I decided to branch out and ordered the Orange Chicken, same deal: no breading, no frying please, medium spicy. Perfection. These guys are fantastic. The portions are good-sized, and we generally end up with leftovers for breakfast the next day.

We are so glad we found a great Chinese place in our neighborhood! You should try them soon.

Yum. We just ate here Friday night and loved every bit! There was a great selection on the menu both traditional and not I guess that is why it is Asian Fusion Cuisine. What was great is it actually had flavor and did not just taste like syrup or oil. My husband said it was “the best Mongolian beef he has tried”. We will definitely come back!

Great deal for lunch, totally solid chinese food.. The lunch special at chef liao is a great deal -- entree, rice, soup, and eggroll for $5! Everything is always tasty, but the potstickers are truly superior

Great asian option in the neighborhood and they deliver too. I had a hankering for some chinese food, and was pleased to find something close to home. I popped in on a Saturday afternoon to find only one other customer present. Apparently this is the best kept secret in the neighborhood (Phinney), because I had a great, fresh, tasty lunch for a really low cost. I was brought a teapot full of hot jasmine tea and a menu as soon as I sat down. They have dishes in Chinese, Japanese, and Thai styles. Their lunch combos are only $5.95! I wanted to sample more items, so I got a lunch combo that included pork chow mein, steamed rice, an egg roll, and my choice of soup - hot and sour, and purchased the ginger chicken a la cart. The soup was good. The chow mein was good, and made with fresh (rather than dry) noodles that I would not have been surprised to learn were homemade. And the ginger chicken was excellent - really impressive. I'm often afraid to try unknown asian places in case they don't use good quality meat or fresh enough ingredients (one too many bad teriyaki bowls), but this was delightful. Everything was fresh and high quality. The chicken was strips of all breast meat, cooked to tender perfection with carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, and lots of ginger in a delicious sauce. I will definitely be eating here again, especially since, as I grabbed a menu on my way out, I learned they deliver! And they have a web site. It's chefliao - dot- com.
