My hair is difficult to manage, so in order to avoid styling in the morning, I have had digital perm done at different places in the past, but have never been quite happy with the results. I decided to try out Emily after searching the internet, and boy! her procedure is clearly unique in which, she methodically places different size rollers to create a natural look on your hair. It's more of an art work, I think.My hair came out looking much better than expected and easy to manage as well (I wish I could post my picture in here!). I now realize that the digital perm machine can only do so much, but the technique is what makes the difference.

Digital Perm. I made an appointment for a digital perm. When I got there Emily asked what type of curls I wanted, I looked thru her book of photos and picked the one I liked best. Yes my hair did come out like that, so I can't complain about that.

However it wasn't what I wanted from a digital perm. I saw all these pictures on the internet of curls that looked like they were done by large hot rollers or a curling iron with a big barrel. That's what I wanted.

Over all, Emily was great and the salon is nice. I'm just not really happy with my digital perm, but that's my fault for not speaking up about the curls I wanted and picking a picute that I thought was good...

great digital perm. emily is great. i was nervous going in to try to get large, loose curls for volume - but she put me at ease... she knows what she's doing, and i'm glad i trusted her!

A great experience with Hair Straightening. I've recently moved here from Pasadina, and checked out New Look based on a friend's recommendation. I had the Japanese Hair Straightening done by Emily, and the result exceeded my expectations. I've had hair straightening done before in LA, but Emily is clearly one of the best. Her price is reasonable too. If you want hair straightening, this is the place to go.

Nice pedicure/manicure job. I'm so happy with Van, this little Asian lady. I've been to many salons in the past, but nobody has given me the pedicure/manicure like her! She's meticulous, cheerful, and pays attention to small details. Unlike some other nails places, which use large stationary foot spas (that I tend to stay away because I've read somewhere that they're hard to clean and full of germs), Van uses a portable one. This is a small foot spa, which not only assures you that it's clean, but it also gives you a heavenly aqua-jet foot massage as well. Oh did I mention the leather chair? It's very relaxing & comfortable too!

Quality Balayage. I have had Balayage done over the past year at another salon and was never truly satisfied with the overall expereince. After going to Emily, I am truly satisfied with the natural look she provides. She spent time getting to know what I was trying to achieve. The end result looks great and for a reasonable price as well. I already have an appointment to go back!

Best Digital Perm!!. I have permed my hair over 10 times, and even though I ask for a body perm, I always end up tight curls. I have been wanting to try a digital perm -- the new Japanese trend that only a few salons offer. A friend went to Tenpachi and her digital perm looked like a typical spiral curl and not relaxed, and said she was in the salon for almost 5 hours! I decided to try Emily at New Look since she's my new favorite hair stylist. Emily told me she special ordered extra large rollers to achieve a real body wave. It took about 3 hours (the same time it takes for a regular perm) and it looks *perfect*!!! It looks like I curled my hair with a large curling iron. The curls are relaxed and soft. I can literally wash my hair and let it air dry and it looks amazing. No one knows I had a perm because it looks so natural.

Emily is great!. I went to New Look Beauty Salon after reading a couple of reviews from women who had Emily do balyage on their hair. I was a little nervous about it but am totally and completely happy with what Emily did. My hair looks great! I'm a natural blonde but over the years my hair has darkened. Emily's balyage technique left me looking blonde, very natural, not over done. I am really really happy with the outcome. Highly recommend her! The price was great too. Cute salon, very clean, not intimidating, friendly. Can't say enough!

Hair straightening. I have recently had the Japanese hair straightening done on my hair. My hair has never looked better! I used to have curly, unruly hair, but now the entire texture of the hair is straight and shiny. When I get out of the shower, my hair stays straight and it only takes me about 5 minutes to fix my hair. It really was worth every penny, and I highly recommend to anyone who wants your hair straightened.

highly disappointed with my color. I went here because of the recommendations I read on this website. Big mistake. My color, which took hours and was extremely expensive, was not at all what I asked for. I requested highlights and emphasized my desire that they look natural. I walked away with all-over color and extreme streaks. I cried this morning when I got a look at it again. Nice people but problematic at best.
