Tips for Stratford at Maple Leaf

My grandmother stayed at Stratford at Maple Leaf and was a raving fan. Whenever I talked to her she always had something positive thing to say about her experience. Her highlights seemed to be the staff who were always friendly and kind to her, the food which I think exceeded her expectations, and the interior decor which is quite a bit nicer than the other places she has stayed. We even had a family birthday get together for her great-granddaughter in the private dining room which the chef prepared a special cake for! She has lived in other senior housing places and claims this place is the best of them.

Caring Staff - Good Options. Both my parents lived at the Stratford for about 1 1/2 years now, and my mother is still there. They first moved in because my father had dementia that required more supervision than we could manage and this was the most highly recommended place by our doctor. After he passed, my mother moved into a smaller apartment and is still there today. We visit 1-2 times a week, and eat lunch with her at least once a week. I am grateful for the staff for helping out in areas where we needed it.

Excellent assisted living facility.. My mom has been at Stratford for a year now. We are very satisfied with the care they give her. Plus she has her own apartment like setting, to where she has alot of privacy.Which she loves. Great place, highly recommend.

Best Assisted Living in Seattle!!. Licensed nurses, 24 hrs care staff, diabetic care management, including sliding scale insulin management, strategic partnerships with UW Long Term Medicine - are all part of living at the Stratford. They offer a continuum of care - Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all under one roof that keep residents feeling at home and not worring about moving out because their care level changes after a surgery or hospital visit. When there is a problem Marika and her staff listen and always look for a solution that will work for the resident and family.

My mom was bouncing around last year. She was nursing/rehab, then an adult family home. She was not happy because she did not have her own space for family/friends to visit and her furniture/possession around her. My mom has been at the Stratford for one wonderful year now. She is happier and healthier than ever. She is on a 2 hour bed check and turning schedule like in a nursing home. They have a 24 hr. call system that summons the CNA. She can also call the front desk for assistance from the Concierge 8am to 8pm.

She does not need memory care - she simply can't walk because she is crippled from arthritis and spends most of her time in bed. She loves watching the cars on Lake City Way. They the only assited living in Seattle that will do a 2 person total assist transer. They do everything for her from meals, grooming, medications - all in her room. The nurses manage her medication including narcotics. UW Long Term Care Steve Felton ARNP who comes into the Stratford to see her. So that is one less appointment she has to leave home for and they can keep a tighter watch on infections that come up fast. I highly recommend the Stratford Assisted Living for your elderly parent or family member.
