NEVER GO HERE UNTIL MARY IS GONE!. After my initial visit, a plan was set up to fill cavities in all four quads of my mouth. A detailed printout was handed to me by front desk, Mary, but there were two total figures for each future visit outlined. I asked Mary what each of these figures meant and her answer was "I can never tell when she does these." My first visit went really well, they took care of two visits in one, were really friendly, and did a beautiful job. When the bill came it was in-line with what I was expecting. I paid around $400 and had a premium plan insurance. At my next visit, I showed up 5 min early then waited 2 hours because the hygienist locked her keys in her car. No big deal. The work was finished and Dr. Scantlebury was great once again. This time they wanted me to pay $900. I couldn't believe it. I asked Mary to verify my coverage and she said she would call my insurance and never did. I called repeatedly for the next 3 months as I was certain white fillings were covered for non-posterior teeth and Mary continued to lie and say she was waiting for either her Accounting person to handle it or the insurance company to call back. It turns out the insurance company had investigated immediately after the my inquiry following the 2nd visit and had determined that my white fillings were covered. Mary obviously had not looked into it as she had been saying all along. The insurance company had paid Reflections for the billing error in June but Reflections did not pay me back until October! My $900 sat in Reflections bank account building interest instead of my own. The worst part of this is the planned timeline of my dental work fell into the last 3 months of job. So because of Mary my dental work was not completed before my coverage expired. I called the other day to have records transfered (almost 1 yr later) and Mary somehow still works there. She is totally incompetent and does not care about the patient. Please only go here if you are completely aware of all the details of your coverage so that you can protect yourself. Thanks for reading.
Don't Go here!!.
My fiance went to the dentist and sat down with them and they figured out a quote to all. It was well within our budget. His first two appointment went well, they cleaned his teeth and though he was sore he had no issues with them. He really like the female dentist that worked on him.
Today he returned from the dentist soar, unhappy and feeling used.
First they put him in the chair and prep him to fill in a cavity and replace a crown. They tell him right their as he is in the chair that the crown they want to put in is going to cost him an extra $200. They tell him original price (that the insurance will pay for) was for a crown that was silver like the one he has and wasn't a good quality. They have decided to give him a better one, he is also going to need a root canal they said. Robb tells them "I don't want that one, I can't afford it or the root canal" This is where it starts to feel like he's at a used car lot. They come back telling him they can break it up into payments! Still he says no he still can't afford the extra $200. They are determined to sell him this and come back saying "Your lucky, we can do THREE payments" Robb finally has to say "Look, I have a 6 month babe and I might be losing my job" Did this shut them up? No they continued to press him telling him he really needed this crown.
He finally had to lay it down and told then he just wanted to get his cavity filled. They finally drop it but not after wiring his mouth open, jabbing a numbing needle in his gum and leaving him there for 40 mins. Where did the dentist go? To the lady in the next room telling her SHE needed a new white crown too and a root canal as well. She tried to turn them down as well but after a few minutes of the dentist preaching doom and gloom she gives him. He's sitting there hearing the whole thing.
The dentist returns to Robb 40 mins later saying that they are a dentist short and he the only guy available today. So they didn't even try and reschedule people either, they were still having them come in and sit and wait while this one guy bounce from room to room trying to sell everyone on much more expensive procedures.
Don't go here. Unless you like faulty quotes, pushy salesmen and being punished for not buy their products.
Great Dentists Here. I've been here many times, bringing my children. We've had great service and have never had to wait more than five minutes, at the most. The female dentist is the most gentle dentist I've ever experienced.... I think anyone afraid to see a dentist should go to her. We've been to the male dentist for many years and highly recommend him.
Try Somewhere Else. I visited the Reflections Dental Center in December 2007 on two separate occasions and was really put off. They made me wait for more than an hour on each occasion and whirled me through my appointment with the dentist in about 20 minutes. I was treated like a moving dollar sign. On the second appointment I decided to reschedule the appointment after waiting for 50 minutes and they tried to bill me $150 for wasting their dentists time. Trust me on this one. Look for a more dedicated and personal experience than what you are sure to find here.
