I have always hated going to the dentist and have had a few bad experiences that prevented me from going for a long time. The staff and doctors at Northgate Smiles made me feel welcomed and at ease. At other offices, I have often felt tricked into doing procedures that were not essential or I was made to feel embarrassed – but that was not the case at Northgate Smiles! I highly recommend going to them!

Karla Aylen and her staff are very friendly and knowledgable. They provide outstanding care with a wonderful attitude. It is always a pleasure going to Northgate Smiles! I would recommend to anyone.

Northgate Smiles is awesome. I called on a Thursday trying to get an appointment ASAP b/c my insurance was going to run out and they were able to get me in by MONDAY. Awesome! They were so helpful too and willing to work with me as much as possible. I went in and did a checking and was able to get back in by the next day! Everyone's very friendly, Krystle the assistant is very friendly, always remembers everyone's name and the dentists are knowledgeable, friendly, and comforting. I had a really bad cavity and it HURT when they were drilling out the decay and as SOON as they saw discomfort they immediately stopped asked if I was okay and then gave me ANOTHER anasthesia injection for free of course. After that I didn't feel anything so I was super happy. The assistants, receptionist, and dentists are great I saw 2 different dentists and they were both great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :)

Dental care is so very important, and needs to be taught, and given to everyone. I went without proper care for way too long. Today I feel so blessed because I met Dr. Karla Aylen. She is a wonderful dentist and I recommend her highly. My name is Carla too...give her a call sometime at Northgate Smiles and I know she will treat you with TLC just like she did for me too!!

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Aylen and her staff. Everyone is very friendly, knows you by name and smiles at you when you walk through the door. I had a wonderful first time experience with everyone I encountered at Northgate Smiles. I laughed my way through the uncomfortable workup x-rays with a technician who made me feel so comfortable, despite all of the hardware and contraptions she had to put into my mouth. That was no easy task! The woman who cleaned my teeth was so gentle that it seemed to be over before I knew it had really even started. The best part is I didn't feel as if I were being judged for not having gone to the dentist in a long time. Dr. Aylen was so kind and informative of everything I have going on in my mouth. There are some things that are not your run of the mill issues...not because I put off going, but she explained all of my treatment options and took great care of me on her end! Thanks Dr. Aylen.

I've been a patient at Northgate Smiles for 3 years and they are always friendly, organized, and punctual. On all my visits they have taken me on time or even early right when I arrive. But if I do ever have to wait in the future, it wouldn't be that bad because Northgate Smiles has a very inviting waiting room with a great selection of magazines, water, coffee, and comfortable seats.

Although, I generally see the dentist only every 6 months, Tammy, my dental hygenist, remembers me and we have fun conversations about family, sports, and other activities (although it's mostly one-sided with my mouth wide open, I share comments when I can).



Northgate Smiles offers convenient times with 7 am early bird apptmts. Once I needed to reschedule and they were able to take me in within the next week.

I have been seeing Dr. Aylen at Northgate Smiles for a couple of years now, and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Previous dental offices have told me my teeth are cracked from grinding and that I should consider getting veneers. At Northgate Smiles they let me know my teeth are just fine, although a little worn down from grinding, so I should consider a mouth guard – quite different from the price of veneers!

When I first went to see Dr. Aylen, I needed an implant (crown), and it turned out my post is not a standard one, so needed a particular setting. She notified the lab making the implant about the non-standard post and arranged someone from the lab to come up during my exam to take a look. She made everything so easy for me.

And finally, my dental hygienist Cindy is fantastic! She’s very easy to talk to and makes my cleaning seem to last no time at all, and my teeth feel great when she’s done.

I highly recommend Northgate Smiles!

My husband, my five-year old son and I all have the pleasure of being patients of Dr. Aylen. She and her staff are always prompt, extremely friendly, and efficient. I have never had to wait more than a minute or two to be seen. My son always gets the royal treatment when he comes, and it has made his dental experiences so fun. He loves seeing the stuffed boa constrictor and chatting up everyone (who always take the time to talk with him). We have referred some friends to this office and they have also been very pleased with their experience. They are also very good at explaining any charges, estimates, etc and always call to remind of appointments. Thanks to everyone at Northgate Smiles for always being outstanding!
