GuadalajaraNot happy with the service.... My wife and I had been here several times so were not first timers, we liked it before or we wouldn't have gone back. Last night the food was really good, but the customer service was really lacking! The other thing was that they had live entertainment that moved around the dinning room and he was so loud you couldn't talk or enjoy your meal. Some great customers must have come in at one table, because the whole staff spent a great deal time making sure all of their needs were met and very few of ours. No refills, no asking us how our meal was no nothing... sad to say I don't think we'll be going back!
okay food, rude bartender. Typical Americanized Mexican food, weak drinks, and a bartender with a serious attitude problem.
Good Crowd, Excellent Location, Really Bad Food.
I love Mexican food and having grown in Los Angeles I am totally spoiled by the delicious Mexican food LA has to offer. This place is usually always busy in the evenings and specially summer evenings because they have a patio where you can enjoy the cool Summer evenings in Seattle. Ive been here twice now, the first time I visited them, I was really expecting the food to be excellent considering their prices and crowd. I should have known from the moment I was handed the picture menu that this was going to be one of those places you go to for Happy Hour where you don't really care what the food tastes like. Their portions are average but the flavor of their food is not so lucky. Basically overpriced, overcooked, cheap ingredients slapped together more for the appearance than the taste.
If you really want some good Mexican, check out Tacos Guaymas at the Alaska Junction, possibly the best salsa bars I have ever encountered.
My recommendation... go for the drinks then hop in your car and drive over to Guaymas for some real food.
The Best Mexican Food Around. This is truely a hidden gem among Mexican restaurants. I am a connoisseur of Mexican food and have dined at Mexican restaurants in many places. The food and drinks are excellent and authentic, full of great flavor. The service is like being welcomed in to the family. If you are looking for a quieter atmosphere, Monday through Wednesday nights are great, but any night of the week you will find great food made by a chef that truely cares what his patrons think.
The best family owned Mexican Restaurant in West Seattle-FAUNTLEROY AREA. Friendly family owned mexican restaurant in West Seattle. Food is always fresh and the price is decent. The Maragarita's are delicious! If you are new to West Seattle, you won't find this Guadalajara on the main drag. Guadalajara is SW of the Ferry dock. Don't be confused the one one on California Ave is not even close to the same food or customer service...thay are mountains apart and not in the same league. I love the Taco Salad and the burritos are big enough for two! Great food and value-highly reccomend it.
BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN TOWN!. Guadalajara is the perfect Mexican restaurant. The food is OUSTANDING (and I'm picky), it's local, a great enviorment, and the owners and staff are awesome. There is always a smiling face there to say hello to you, usually the owner and cook, who is an awesome, funny guy. The place is never full and it's super easy to get a table any time. There's awesome chips and salsa, and you can order drinks as soon as you walk in. There is a huge menu to choose from, whether it be tacos, fajitas, or a simple hamburger if you want. I don't think there is an item on the menu that is not great. You get your food very quickly, because they aren't ever really that full. The meal is ALWAYS outstanding, and the people are very friendly all the time. You have to love this place. I really suggest you check it out. Remember, it's right next to the ferry, so if you're just coming in or about to leave, go on down there. I'm there at least once a week. IT'S GREAT!
