Not a true soccer bar.... I'm disappointed. There isn't a thing on the wall that ain't related to soccer. But, the night the Seattle Sounders clinch their first ever playoff game, the bartender quickly changes the channel to U of W football, seconds after the Sounders clinch! I understand they have to make money, but if you are selling yourself as a soccer bar, you couldn't at least keep one of the your five TV's on the post-game wrap up?!? Fortunately, I had the post-game recorded. But, next time there is a big soccer game, I'll go to Fado's or George and Dragon!
Biggest Little Bar in the World!. My fiends and I found this spot a few months ago, and soon became regulars. Stopped by one night by accident, and never left! So to speak... At first is was fun trying all the different Scotches, but eventually we got hungry! I think we started with the sausage sandwhich, and ended up at the Hummas plate. Haven't had anything I didn't like. We started making it a weekly tradition. Great bartenders serving great food and stiff drinks. Try the Hummas plate. I'll be there this weekend!
Best place to watch soccer in Seattle. Excellent bartenders that make stiff drinks and always keep a game on. The atmosphere and crowd are always good.
Great little place near Greenlake. This is a great neighborhood pub. They've got quality food and a top-notch Scotch selection. And if you like to watch soccer, St. Andrew's is a must try.
Great Whisky Ye have, but how about a Scottish Pint!.
St. Andew's is a friendly and comfortable pub with great food and servcice and an awesome whisky selection but way too many NW micro brews. How about a Scottish pint (Caledonian, McEwan's or St. Andrews). I can get Guinees, Harp and Carlsberg in loads of places. You're on the right track but a bit of a shakeup on the beer selection would be much appreciatted! The area has the making of a great little pub crawl with Duck Island, the Kangaroo and Kiwi and others near buy. While I'm not a Scottsman (I play one on TV) I'm really pulling for you boys!
Pro: Whiksy selection is awesome, food and staff (and I like Rod Stewart watching over things, remember Rod was cool once - a long time ago in a galaxy far far away)
Cons: Only One - Beer
A sublime "local".
Try their blue-cheese bacon burger served with PERFECT french fries (sorry: chips), and finish it off with a smoky, Islay Scotch. This place has great pub food, fair pricing, a relaxed atmosphere, an admirable selection of beer & spirits, and bartenders/servers who are proficient and genuine (Jose is a Brahman-Bartender). If you don't care for televised sports (like me), avoid going in during big sporting spectacles: it can be loud and crowded. If you do like televised sports, by all means, you feel at home with widesceen monitors and amiable fellwo enthusiasts all around! The only negatives in my opinion, are the spinach salad, and the large portrait of Rod Stewart...the latter is very hard on the digestion :-(
Cheers!
Okay average place. Good service, good food but poor beer selection..
Average little pub with some good menu items. The main problem I have with this place is the terrible beer selection. I mean you are a Scottish place right? Why is there no Scottish beers. You know there is even a Scottish beer with the same name as the bar, but it was nowhere to be found.
I will have to go somewhere else for my Scottish beer thirst.
Fun atmosphere. Friendly and warm service. great bar food. enjoyed ourselves. Great place to have a few drinks and laugh. The freshly caught haggis is a must try.
