A great stop on Highway 2. If your passing through Monroe either to or from the mountains this is a great place to stop. It's in a odd location, in a red barn shaped building next to a Shell Gas station, but the inside is very clean, cozy and wonderfully unexpected.

Very friendly staff, and great menu. The food is delicious. I've been to a few Indian resteraunts and this is one of my top choices. I would recommend the mango chicken dish - but make sure to ask the staff for recommendations, they are very helpful.

great Indian food. Clay Oven in Monroe is in one of the most obscure places I've ever seen, sharing a building with a Shell gas station & mini-mart in a "Red Barn" building, but the inside of the restaurant is very nice, the staff is great (friendly and attentive) and the food is some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Chicken tika masala is one of my favorite dishes and Clay Oven doesn't disappoint. While this is what I usually order, I make it a point to try the things others as well. I haven't yet found a dish I've been unhappy with. In a city like Monroe that doesn't offer a lot of choices, Clay Oven is a delight!
