Bellevue >All Star Massage and Spa
Great experience. Called very last minute and they were super accommodating. I thought the space was very serene, staff friendly, and services were reasonably priced. I will be back!
Tranquil Spa in Cozy Setting.
I had a doctor referral for 10 massages to help with lower back pain. I was pleasantly surprised to see All Star Spa on the list of preferred providers. I had been there once before to get a facial before my wedding last summer. The facial was really good, and I was glad to go back.
The owner, Starla, did an amazing job with my massages. Sooo relaxing! The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, and the staff is helpful. I would recommend the services of All Star Spa to friends!
Convenient serenity. A great place to give gifts and get massages. I have been to All Star several times and have always had a great experience. The hospitality is warm, the place is nicely appointed, the massage therapists are very good. This spa is literally over water which is great for ambience but sometimes causes a chilly treatment room. This gets corrected when I tell the therapist, but should be a little more automatic on their part. I appreciate the fair pricing for good services and have given treatments to friends as gifts which they have enjoyed as well.
I have been going to All Star for massage therapy for almost a year now. In that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences. I find the ambiance to be very "homey" and comfortable. In the past I have gone to "chain store spas" - like the ones in shopping malls - and been disappointed by the factory feel and the lack of personable staff. Staff is one of the most important aspects of a spa experience and many times spas are filled with "stuffy" staff but this is not the case here; those I have dealt with have been very down to earth.
Because All Star is on Lake Bellevue (literally atop the water), there is never a moment where you have to deal with crowds of people or the chaos of everyday life. From the moment you get out of your car to the moment you get back in, everything is very peaceful.
I have also been to All Star a couple of times for pedicures - and those experiences have been very enjoyable. My mom and I had side-by-side pedicures and the staff made sure that we were able to relax and enjoy our time together.
I would recommend All Star to any of my friends, family, or strangers!
Great Prenatal Massage. I had back issues while pregnant, and had a refferal from my insurance for 10 massages. It helped me reduce the tentions and relax. I even went back with my mom after birth for a dual massage and we bouth enjoyed. Nice, cozy place for a massage ( didn't yet try other services). Must try.
Two years ago I was in a rear end accident on I-5 and seriously hurt my neck and lower back. Because of the way GH structures their benefits, they only allow highly qualified care givers to provide medical message therapy.
With only three places on the GH referral list I called around and got nothing but a v-mail box, except when I reached All-Star - I actually reached a real live voice! Anyway after a couple years of therapy, I am actually beginning to feel normal again and I can only attribute it to the ultra qualified message therapist that has given me such incredible professional care. After my a lotted number of sessions are complete, will I be back - you betcha!
Relaxing and Professional Spa. I have been recently getting massage at the All Star Spa for some lower back troubles. The staff has been taking great care of me. They are always on time and even offer ice after the massage for areas that bother me. I have been to many doctors and chiropractors, but find that massage is the only thing that has helped so far. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great massage. I like their professionalism, but the place is also very relaxing. It was a bit tricky to find, but totally worth it. It's located on Lake Bellevue, which I didn't even know existed. Im sure the other services they offer are great as well.
Great eyelash extensions!. I was hesitant about getting eyelash extensions because I have been told horror stories! I had a wonderful experience at All Star. I forget the name of the girl but she was very sweet and did a good job of explaining how the process would be and how to care for my new lashes. They turned out beautiful and very natural.
not-so-great ambiance, customer service or pedicures. I came in for a spa pedicure and will not be going back for one. I was instructed to sit on a chair in the hallway to begin soaking my feet. Sitting there in my coat with my purse and a book I was handed a new client form. I asked if there was a place I could put my belongings. The nail tech then took my belongings into a room I would be going to later. I take off my shoes and roll up my pants to be met with luke warm water. Sitting there bored, staring into an unlit waiting room the nail tech walks by. I ask how much longer I'll be sitting there and am told, "about a minute." I am given flip flops and told to put them on and go into the room behind me. There I am instructed to lay on a bed, nothing described this on their website or over the phone. The nail tech barely files my feet (the main reason I'd come in) and then works on my cuticles and nails. After she finishes she puts a masks on my lower legs and leaves the room. She returns to clean the mask off and then exfoliated, no additional filing was done. She then lotions my legs and feet and begins painting my toe nails. Many times during this process I was told to sit up and do something - horrible for a person with a bad back. As soon as she finishes she tells me to get all my things and follow her into the waiting area. I was shocked I was not offered any help! Then I sat in a freezing cold waiting area with no music/ambient noise for an hour waiting for my polish to dry. They did not use any type of quick-dry drops. After 20 minutes someones finally came in and offered me a drink, for the first time during my visit. 20 more minutes later someone came in and realized how freezing cold it was (I was huddled under my coat) and someone brought a space heater in. Ready to leave, I went to check out and the person working the desk overcharged my credit card $50 and did not know how to adjust/cancel the charge. I had to help them use their credit card machine. It was a good thing I didn't go there to relax!
FROM A KEPT WOMAN OF LEISURE. FABULOUS! I DID NOT EXPECT SUCH A TRANQUILL SETTING IN A CITY CENTER AREA. LOVELY LOCATION, BUT ON FIRST APPROACH OF THE BUILDING YOU THINK, ?DOCTORS? OFFICES?? ONCE IN THE SPA, YOU HAVE MIND EASING MUSIC, A PLEASANT WELCOMING STAFF, AND ARE SHOWN TO A WAITING ROOM WITH CANDLES, RELAXING SPA MUSIC, AND A CEILING TO FLOOR WINDOWS OVERLOOKING THE LAKE. WHAT A PRIME LOCATION AND VIEW FOR A ?CITY SPA.? I HAD A FACIAL THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAIZING. MY FACE WAS FACIALED AND MESSAGED. MY ARMS, HANDS, SHOULDERS, UPPER BACK, NECK, LEGS BELOW KNEES, AND FEET WERE INCLUDED. MY SKIN WAS AS SOFT AS A BABY?S BOTTOM. I WAS SO RELAXED I WAS READY TO BE POWDERED, DIAPERED, AND PUT TO BED. DON?T MISS THIS PLACE!
