Some of the best coffee to be had in Seattle! Gives Stumptown and Vivace a run for its money! Now in Ballard too, lucky me!!
RUN, do not walk.... If you care about coffee and you haven?t been here, run. If you want a place that welcomes everyone?from hipsters to oldsters, tourists to morning workers at the market, keep running. If you thought you knew all about coffee--or even if you never cared--you?ll learn something (more) about what you like from affable Sebastian and the welcoming crew at Seattle Coffee Works. The music is never too loud (or always loud enough); you can taste, smell, discuss, and see an impressive range of coffees/ beans, and have some of Seattle?s best chocolate with your brew. I LOVE this place (even if I do live on Capitol Hill, with its abundant beaneries) and plan to send some of the local roasts they carry to my friends back east in bean-deprivation land. If you ever needed an excuse to get to Pike Place Market a bit earlier in the morning, this is it. Great vibes, wifi, comfortable chairs, tables, books, the works.
the most amazing mochas & cappuccinos!. Seattle Coffee Works is gem! Located near Pike Market, it's the perfect alternative to the big-name conveyor belt, over-roasted coffee places around the corner. Seattle Coffee Works has a lively and relaxing atmosphere. The owners Sebastian and Pipo are absolutely lovely people who make the best mochas and cappuccinos I've had anywhere in the U.S! Sebastian and Pipo do their research and tasting to find the finest micro-roaster coffee beans in the Seattle area, and they pay particular attention to the freshness of the beans to make sure that you get the perfect froth, with a little bit of artwork, on your cappuccino every time. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for amazing coffee and great conversation. Catherine O. Washington, DC
The real coffee in Seattle.
I came across to this coffee shop after wondering around the Pike Place. I thought it was just another coffee shop conveniently located close to Pike. When I was in the area the next day, I came across it again. I thought let's give it a try since it was my last day in Seattle. Oh, I've been pretty disappointed with my quest for great coffee in Seattle during my 1 week visit by the way.
To my surprise, the barista was really knowledgeable. She even made a suggestion for my ice cappuccino creation. Foila, when I took the first sip, I was surprised. The coffee beans that they use are really good. They are not bitter at all like burnt taste that you could find in a lot of places. I could taste the nuttiness and the robust coming out my cappuccino. It was just a perfect cup of cappuccino.
Editorial Review. This Pike Place coffee shop spotlights the beans from local roasters, including Caffe Umbria, Lighthouse, Brown's and more.
Try The Works!.
I stumbled across Seattle Coffee Works this weekend, and all I can say is wow! Above all things, you have to order The Works-three different espresso shots, served on a silver tray. Try it and you'll be blown away. Agnostic to only one roast, where else in Seattle can you try three different types of coffee (actually, they have more to choose from than that...) all at one time?
I will make a point of returning to SCW the next time I'm downtown.
Best Coffe in Town!.
So I found this little coffee place in Seattle. It's right by the pike place market. It serves many different micro brews of coffee. You can go in and choose which espresso you want with your latte. How cool.
The space is very cool. And I really liked the staff!
If you live here or are just visiting, check this place out! It's a must!
Great concept and Amazing coffee. What a great find!! I was in town checking out Pikes Market and happened upon this place. Their concept is to offer coffee from a select few boutique coffee roasters. Almost like wine tasting in Napa, but here you can get three espressos side by side and do a taste comparison. I never knew there could be such a difference in taste. I ended up buying a pound of each coffee to bring back home. Amazing coffee and a great souvenir. Wish I had one of these in my neighborhood.
The wine bar meets the coffee shop.
Awesome concept--where else can you compare several local coffee roasters products side by side? I made it through two espressos, but I dont think I have the caffeine tolerance to drink the works which is three espressos on a silver platter.
Overall fantastic coffee. All the shots were pulled to perfection. The barista said it was part skill and part their fancy machine. It is able to dial in the temperature down to the degree for the perfect pour.
Location is a little odd being partially inside a t-shirt shop, but works out well if you spill your double tall latte on your favorite Van Halen tshirt.
Awesome Coffee Variety. They have five or six coffees "on tab" -- when I was there the barista offered me "The Works" as a test. Great coffee, and great art in making coffee.
Great coffee, Barista's are really Friendly too. I had an Americano there this week, it was Great! The barista was very sweet and very happy to see me. It's nice to see a clean cheerful looking shop sort open on this street.
