Worst customer service, lacks integrity

by DogTrots at Citysearch

1- Nicole was so rude to me on several occasions that I kindly requested for anyone else to call me from Calidora's other than her. She ignored my request and called me two other times (weird), leaving me messages and sent me an e-mail. She desperately needs to take a customer service class before ever dealing with the public. The worst I've ever experienced.

2- Heavy pressure sales.

3- TWICE- they promised me something (money related) then went back on their word. Are you kidding me? How can a business run without integrity?

4- After a year of hair removable treatments, the hair is not as thick but still very much there. I still have to shave as often as I did before I purchased their package.

Final note: This place left me disappointed so many times that it was very difficult going back to finish my laser sessions.

Wonderful Experience!

by reviewmel at Citysearch

I have been interested but skeptical about laser contouring but have been dying to try it for years. I did the Accent XL laser and had the best experience. Not only was the technician a total doll but I saw instant results on the backs of my legs. The overall tone and appearance just seemed tighter and firmer. I am going back in soon for my second treatment and can't wait to see the results from that!

For anyone who works out and has some muscle but just can't seem to tone certain areas I would definitely reccomend trying out this treatment! It is definitely something I will continue doing and as I age, do on other parts of my body (arms, tummy, etc).

Friendly experts!

I've always been interested in trying a medispa but I was also intimiated. I finally went to Calidora because my best friend has been going regularly for years, and she talked me into just going to see my face in the sun damage machine. The esthetician I met with was so knowledgable - I only wish I had met her 10 years ago. And what stuck out to me is that she didn't make me feel dumb for not having a "skin care routine." Now I have one. For my 40th birthday, I'm committing to taking care of myself and I'll be heading back to Calidora. I bout a package and I've seen great results with the glycolic peel. Thank you Calidora!

Laser Hair Removal

by Client 000 at Citysearch

I had laser hair removal done with their nurse Pinky at the downtown location, and I must say it was not an experience I was expecting. I truly regret buying a package from them! Pinky was very much in a hurry when treating me. I went in with the targeted area already shaved, but there were some parts that I brought to her attention that needed to be reshaved due to regrowth, she agreed and said she would take her razor to it before getting started with the laser. Well, that didnt happen! (I didnt realize this until I was out of there). When done, I felt extremely rushed out of the room!! I wasnt even given the time or chance to take a look at what she had done until I was out of the clinic, and in my car! I still cant believe she ended up not reshaving the remaining areas that needed to be shaved, which means she didnt laser those areas either!! Laser hair removal is pricey and it is NOT something you want to be treated by an incompetent, careless individual either. Im just REALLY disappointed with Pinky's level of professionalism, customer service, and laser hair removal skills, and sad to say that as of today I would not recommend Pinky for laser hair removal at all.

Update: I called Calidora and shared my experience with them, and they were very warm and apologetic and booked me on the same day to go back in and see Pinky. Once I was in the treatment room, my experience with pinky was the total opposite of the first time. She listened to my wants and delivered, then days after called to follow up. We all have bad days, and I guess my first time in was one of hers. I am now happy!

It is like buying a car!!

by ms0029 at Citysearch

The facial was ok – short but ok. But the sales approach was quite aggressive. It was my first time and as a person new to complex skin procedures I wanted to ease into the process. So I thought I would try a facial.

Warning #1 - even though you sign up for a 60Min treatment, count to be there for at least 2 hrs. The pitch; itself is ~30Min.

Warning #2 - Be prepared to talk about your yearly budget for all skin needs. The lady was asking me if I wanted to sign up for 12 facials and the peeling and some other random procedures. I was more worried about liking the facial and getting a good experience, rather than the discounts for the rest of the year. Very very aggressive. And then she says... "we are not a very aggressive place";. Also, she was trying to sell me benefits of facials - no need!! I had already signed up for the facial. All they had to do is deliver on a great experience.

Warning #3 - Downgrade your expectations for facials. It was definitely less than the 60 minutes I paid for. My appointment was at 5:00pm. I showed up at 4:40 to make sure I had plenty of time to fill out any paperwork. They didn't call me in until 5:05pm, no big deal. But then the person talked about all the discounts if you sign up for this and that, and how they are different than the rest, and my budget, and blah... The pitch was done by 5:25pm,and I was finally in route to my facial, which was done by 6:14... so.. not sure it was worth it.

I felt like I was buying a new car, and this was the only time to get the 100K miles warranty at such discounted prices.
