Don't waste your time.
We had noticed this restaurant for a long time, and finally made it in, and will never go back. The waiter seemed to be really annoyed that we were even taking up his time, and seemed in a rush to get us out, even though the restaurant was practically empty. He never asked us if we wanted drinks, never smiled, and never offered a wine list.
My husband & my friend ordered something that was listed as pappardelle with asparagus, and received fettucine with one miniscule slice of asparagus. I had sausage & lentils, and the lentils must have been boiled with no seasoning because they were as bland as baby food. We will not be back
Disappointing. I don't know why anyone would go here for dinner when there are so many other great restaurants within 5 blocks. My husband and I had dinner here for the first (and only) time - here is a rundown of our experience: great calamari, good pilaf and beef dish, completely over-salted fish soup, clueless waitress who had to be reminded that we had ordered drinks (and who responded sullenly to our question as to whether they'd be out soon) with grubby fingernails (no kidding) and an owner who didn't seem to care at all when, on our way out, he asked how our dinner was. We were honest and told him that the fish soup was over-salted and our waitress wasn't very good - and, oddly, he didn't really seem to care. On a good note, now I don't have to feel bad if and when they go out of business.
Great View, Great Food, Great Wine.
We usually post up here at the bar for Sunday dinner - they let us
bring in some wines or we choose from their list.
Jim owns Cucina De Ra - a great little
Belltown Restaurant, and he's been doing restaurants in
Seattle for years and decades and definitely knows what he's doing.
Furthermore, he has fun with it and that rubs off the 'vibe' as a whole.
Great food, including the bolognese, the boars meat ragout, the pasta dishes
and salads to die for. It's a really fun restaurant, good for family occasions
(family party was in there for a private dining event when we were there last),
dates, romantic get aways etc. It's a great little find with surprisingly under
rated, under noticed food in the seattle restaurant scene. Enjoy
Good food, terrible service!. I have been at this restaurant 3 times now, the first two I thought I give them the benefit of the doubt since they were new and the food was pretty good. I even took some friends there! The 3rd time I took friends and I was so embarassed! The food was OK but very slow on coming. The only waitress was very distracted and, GET THIS when it was time to pay, the credit card machine didn't work and they didn't have any change! What kind of business is open for lunch without any money or a working credit card machine?!!! The waitress wasn't even apologetic. I will never go back!
One of the best restuarants in Seattle, more people should be there!. Cucina De Ra is an Italian Resturant. And let me tell you it is one of the best restuarants in Seattle. It should be recgonized. The Food was great! I recommend the Sicilian Salmon, it was terrfifc. Also the The Neoki, it was good too! Dessert is well done too! All in all, Cucina De Ra is one of the best restuarants in Seattle. Come spend your money here! :]
Best Seafood rissoto ' !! Great view !.
I highly recommend this place , i had 'crab bisque soup' , beef carpaccio and special(Seafood rissoto) !!!!
Everything was soooo delicious !!! Overall -best meal i had in the long time !!!
Great food,great service ,great location(view of sculpture park-puget sound,space needle) !!!!!
Don't let the lack of patrons scare you away!. We're not sure why this place is always empty, but we've been there numerous times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and everything on the menu is delicious. We just got back from another great meal. I had the stuffed chicken which was moist and very flavorful while my girlfriend had the 8 hour braised lamb shank which practically fell off of the bone. Highly recommended!
Great food, great service. Dined as a party of two for dinner on a Friday night. There was another party of four when we arrived, but we were soon the only patrons in the place. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was great! We started off with the Beef Carpaccio, which came with shaved parmesan, capers and a generous drizzle of balsamic vinegar. I had a tagliatelle with proscuitto and asparagus in a cream sauce. The proscuitto was generous, but I would've loved more asparagus because I'm an asparagus piggy. My companion ordered the braised lamb shank, and it was truly divine. The meat literally melted in your mouth. VERY generous serving as well. It came with a tasty risotto and lots of extra chianti glaze. The fresh-baked bread was great and promptly refilled, served with a butter that had some kind of red spice coating that seemed to be more for decoration than taste. Large wine list. My friend had a chianti that he enjoyed, and I had some kind of white wine that the waiter suggested and I didn't catch the name of. We did not order dessert because we were too stuffed from dinner. It was a pricey meal, the total was $82.05 before tip, but it didn't hurt my feelings given the quality of the food and service.
Great food, service!. Wow, what a great find! We went there on Saturday and the place was empty, which could our group of seven a little concerned. We sat down and had a wonderful experience with a great waiter and even better food. The bisque was great, as was the endive salad. All seven of us enjoyed our entrees, they were phenomenal. The portions were perfect, not too large and not too small. The bread was served warm and was delicious. Also, when someone from our group asked for a Cesar Salad, which wasn't on the menu, they offered to make the dressing fresh. It was delightful! We will definitely be going back for more! If you are looking for a child friendly restaurant this may not be the perfect place, but I think you could bring children, just beware that there isn't a changing table in the bathroom.
Very good food. I really love this restaurant and I come here at lunch quite often. Very good crab bisque and risotto. Nice prices. I also like the salads, high quality lettuces. Never overly crowded or too busy. Right near the sculpture park. Across the street.
