Tips for Hillrose Pet Resort

One is the lowest I could go. I would never take my pets here. I would sooner leave them at home alone than leave them here. After one of my friends had her pet die here, and the other having its meds mixed up with anothers, there is no way I would take my pet in here. Unless you want your pet hopped up on anothers meds, and about as alive as Michael Jackson by the time you pick them up.

Hillrose - My funnest Job. As an employee of Hillrose Pet Resort I work as a playtimer, a receptionist, and a groomer. I feel that this is a place for pets of all kind and I would take my own pets here as soon as I get them. Most of my coworkers have pets of their own and treat the pets that stay with us like family members. We've dogs and cats of all kind. We've taken care of iguanas, snakes, rabbits, birds, and even fish!

My favorite places are the cattery and suites. They're both very clean and they are nicely decorated. On my breaks I even enjoy sitting with one of the pets in the suite and watching movies with them!

During my job as a receptionist I have the pleasure to meet new people and their pets. I work with everyone to ensure the safe and exact care wanted for their pets.

The best part in my job has to be the playtimes, this is when I get to take your pet out and play with them. I really enjoy getting to know what your pets wants and likes to do. I remember playing with one guy who loved this rubber bone. He was a cute mastiff that I couldn't resist but take a short clip with my phone. He would chew on this bone and pull on it, but it would snap out from his paws and bonk him in the nose and make him sneeze. I was nearly dying with how cute he was! But even after that he went right back to chewing on it again in the exact same way.

As a bather I work with Koko Ambuehl, the owner and main groomer. She is very fun, smart, and talented. All the paintings in the Resort were done by her so she is an artist. She tries her best to work with the pets and their owners. About a year ago we had a dog named George come for grooming. He was still a puppy and was shy but lively. He was very good for his grooming and left very happy but not long afterwards he came back and had changed entirely. He was scared and was nipping and biting. After speaking to George's family we found out that he had been chased by a lose dog in his neighborhood and was mentally scared. All of us at Hillrose Pet Resort were worried about him. We suggested they take him to dog parks frequently and try to have him socialized more. After about 2 weeks he came back for his grooming. Koko requested that George's owner sit in the lobby with George for a bit and stay for his grooming so that George is comfortable and knows that he is not being left behind. George did a lot better but was still scared. We continue to work with George after 3 visits now. George is doing a lot better but still is getting over his trauma.

The only thing I can say that I don't really like about our Resort is our standard areas for dogs. When I go back to see the standard area it feels very bland however I am glad because I expressed my opinion and the staff and management are willing to come up with a new ideas to make our standard area better and more comfortable for pets. We hope to implement these ideas very soon.

All of us at Hillrose Pet Resort wish to make your pets' stay a visit to paradise.

My pet's vacation location!. I have a very large dog that is unpredictable around strangers so I was aprehensive about boarding my dog. The staff at Hillrose Pet Resort are friendly and welcoming. The first time I called to board my dog I had tons of questions. The person I spoke with answered all my questions and invited me and my dog in for a tour. The facility is very clean and organized. The dogs are kept seperated at all times which was one of my requirements. We have boarded our dog in the basic area and also splurged for the suite a few times (which has a bed and tv with videos running all day). Although my husband and I miss our dog when we have to board him we know he is in good hands. I would reccommend Hillrose Pet Resort to anyone that is seeking a home away from home for their pet.

A Happy-temporary-home. Our cat does not like dogs! The beauty of the cat rooms are that it's quite, and peaceful. You cannot hear the dogs barking in the nearby kennel. There are windows to the outside as well as into the room for visual interest. Our cat is very comfortable there and we rest easy while away, knowing that she is getting good care.

Doggies know best. My dogs rejoice upon arrival. They don't even say good-bye when I drop them off. The staff know them and they know me, and never has anybody dropped the ball. Dogs love this place, and that's all that really matters.

Bailey's Favorite Resort. Bailey usually doesn't warm up to strangers, but the employees here at Hillrose were very patient with him. This is a nice, clean facility with a staff who genuinely cares about the well being of your pet.

I had Bailey groomed here a few stays ago and he looked amazing! The groomers did a fabulous job with him and I know Bailey is not too fond of groomers.

I highly recommend this place!

Our dog loves it and so do we.. Our dog has been boarding at Hillrose Pet Resort for 10 years. The staff has treated her well and genuinely seems to care about the animals that stay there. Some of them recognize her when we come in. She seems to like it there and bounds in whenever we take her.

You are allowed to bring towels, but not blankets. We bring her special treats for each day and a big bone to chew on as well.

I recommend the "playtime" as well. She gets at least one a day. We have been going so long Mariah gets an extra playtime every 3rd day.

It is clean, the stalls all have runs and are indoors and the outdoor play area is well-maintained. I highly recommend it.

great place for your cats, convenient to SeaTac. The hours M-F 7am-7pm, and sunday hours 2:30-8:30pm make it easy to pick up on the way home. The staff are friendly and clearly love animals. Our cats are very happy here when we are away.

We appreciate the user review. Our cattery can be inspected any time our lobby is open. Cats seem to enjoy seeing people and so we encourage potential customers to come see our beautiful cattery.

Thank you for you review. We know you are a regular and welcome any and all suggestions you may have.

Shasta's home away from home. Shasta has been staying at Hillrose for several years now and eagerly leaves us each time we bring her for a stay. The staff at Hillrose have been very patient with our dog the escape artist. They have gone out of their way to accommodate her antics and now give her a covered kennel so she won't try to escape. Shasta always comes back home well-mannered and happy. We have never been told there is no availability when making a reservation. We know Shasta is safe and well-cared for so we have no reason to consider boarding her anywhere else - Hillrose is certainly Shasta's home away from home.
