Closed!. I went by this place two weeks ago and it is closed, closed, closed. Looked like it was being torn down. A big disappointment after reading the reviews here and spending an hour driving around looking for it.

Best Sushi on the Eastside. We have searched for a great sushi place on the eastside and now have found it at Sushiya. Nicely appointed atmosphere, we were seated quickly by a very friendly staff. Sushi was outstanding, the freshest we've had in a long time. Caterpillar roll was great and so was all of the nigiri. The sake selection is awesome and the plum wine arrives with a small plum in the bottom of the glass. Absolutely fabulous and we will be regulars.

Best Eastside Sushi. We go out for sushi at least once a week, and now that we moved to the eastside it has been more challenging to find a great place without crossing the bridge. Thank the sushi gods for Sushiya! Dont be put off by the ex- Jack in the Box location, they have done a nice job remodelling for a contemporary feel. The wait staff is efficient and warm, and will know you by name by your third visit. The menu is filled with lots of classics and new fusion fare, but it is the fresh, fresh quality fish that always has us coming back for more. Chef Sang shows uncomprimising commitment to selecting the best quality ingredients. If you are lucky, they may also have the seared wagyu beef nigiri available! Oh, and did I mention the kick-ass sake list?

Most Amazing Sushi, Can't go wrong!. I have been in search for a great sushi place, for many years, and now I have finally found it. This is the most creative sushi, and freshest sushi I have ever had. It is outstanding. I love spicy foods and their spicy house sauce, used in the spicy tuna roll, is delicious. After my first time eating here, I have been back at least once a week to get my fix! I can't say enough good things about this place! It's a must when it comes to sushi!
