Seattle Coffee Gear isn't just a place for shopping. I knew nothing about brewing espresso at home before I found SCG. They have an extensive library of education materials, reviews, and item comparison that brought me to a working understanding of the terminology and process. I believe I was able to avoid costly mistakes by identifying exactly what would fit my needs rather than just buying the most expensive thing I could afford and hoping for the best. As a person who loves doing pre-purchase research, I would completely satisfied with the pre-sales process. When I finally was ready to buy I called them just to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious. Seattle Coffee Gear is one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had online. Prices are comparable to Amazon, but Amazon doesn't even try to achieve this level of service. Thanks, SCG!

Excellent service. I was amazed at how fast I received my order. I looked everywhere on how to keep my coffee in an air tight environment. I was reluctant on purchasing a "Foodsaver" type of product as it is too bulky and takes up too much counter space. Seattle Coffee Gear had the perfect solution: air tight containers, both small and large. I've purchased two, one to store the ground coffee and the other to store the coffee beans. They are a PERFECT solution. I highly recommend this company.

My wife and I bought a superautomatic espresso machine. SCG provided excellent service, maintenance tips, and even recommendations on espresso beans!I was impressed by their great service. Very nice physical store, great staff, and web prices can't be beat.

I have used these guys to buy supplies and an espresso machine for my company and their service is outstanding. They are really great, helpful and friendly people and their web site has an incredible selection of parts, supplies and options for espresso machines. It's kind of a shame but "old time" service like theirs doesn't exist as much as it used to. It's great to know that it still lives in Seattle Coffee Gear.

STAY AWAY FROM SEATTLE COFFEE GEAR! After receiving this supposedly 'Certified Refurbished' Super Automatic espresso machine, we followed the instructions, and the unit still failed to get past priming the pump. Customer service was no help. Asking us to stick a turkey baster inside a 10 minute old machine is ridiculous! But in hopes of getting it to work, we followed their instructions, Force priming the supposedly 'Certified' refurbished machine. It still refused to work on its own after over an hour of FORCED priming. Clearly Seattle Coffee Gear has no business selling these machines. How can you send out $500+ machines and not even test them? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

After over an hour of failed priming, we decided to return the unit. Then came our next surprise. $69 to ship it back. Atleast it was FREE SHIPPING to us, right? WRONG. They decided to charge us for shipping after we returned the unit, only giving us a partial refund for this piece of crap that was their mistake to begin with.

THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.

Was looking for a coffee grinder for my wife, and the sales staff was able to give me some good recommendations which led to a purchase. Shipped quickly, and my initial e-mails were responded to within 24 hours. So far, so good...thanks!

We were on vacation in Long Beach Island N.J and wanted to learn more about making awesome coffee, we came upon Seattle Coffee Gears sight after reading a book by James Freeman of blue bottle coffee. We saw all the videos on Seattle gears sight and started watching. We ended up getting an Bonavita electric kettle and a Chemex coffee maker. We ordered it two day delivery and had it sent to the vacation house so we could play around with it. It all came on time and in great condition. The communication was prompt and clear. They even sent us a $10.00 thank you gift card which we promptly used to try some of their coffee. We have been drinking the best coffee ever. Love the website and really love all the down to earth helpful videos. Cat and Gail you both rock!!

Terrible customer service. Purchased a Nespresso Citiz online, which arrived with a damaged part. When I called to see how they would handle this, the female on the phone told me that it's the last one and there is nothing they can do other than have me return it or call Nespresso myself to see if I can have it replaced. Needless to say I was less than happy with the lack of initiative. In the end, she said that she would call Nespresso herself to take care of this and would call me by the end of day. Never received a phone call or any other commmunication. Thank you for the broken machine that cost me $300.
