Disappointing purchase, and no price match.. Just like the review below says, Seattle Coffee Gear simply doesn't honor their price match policy. I was really hoping for a great experience with my new machine, but it's been soured having found the exact machine $140 cheaper elsewhere. Seattle Coffee Gear initially said they'd match/credit me the difference, then transferred me to a supervisor that basically said to late, you bought it, your stuck with the price - despite the fact that I haven't even received it yet.

When I said I'd return it, they told me it'd would cost me $80. Here I am, a new customer, with the potential to make future purchases with them, recommend them to my friends, and they walk away from me like I'm just a number. Is this the way to treat a new customer? Makes you wonder what will happen if you have a real service problem with the machine.

I purchase a lot of items online, and have dealt with many e-retailers (good and bad). If you're a discriminating shopper like myself, learn from my unfortunate transaction and look around for another retailer before spending this type of money on an expresso maker with Seattle Coffee Gear.

An extremely disappointed first time customer.

Update: Seattle Coffee Gear noted that the price match requested appeared to be a mistake on the other companies website since the price changed a short time after being posted. To get the price I paid in line with the other retailer, Seattle Coffee Gear has offered me a $25 GC, which I accepted. I'm happy to see they are making an attempt to earn my business.

Price Match not for real?. Sent a price match request on two Saeco machines - one on Amazon and another at Costco. Did not price match on either machine. No attempt to counter offer. They did respond within an hour - fast. However, I am not all that savy concerning these machines and found 2 cheaper prices fairly easily...seems like false advertising in their policy to me even if in the small print they reserve the right to refuse a "price match" - what is the point? Even J&R does better than this and could you imagine ever trying to return anything to those guys???

Unfortunately, we were not able to match the price for the items requested in this case. We do provide a level of service to our customers that goes beyond what the retailer referenced on Amazon's site or Costco can provide. Costco often purchases discontinued items and is able to offer them below our cost. We do not have a way to match in these cases and are clear to communicate that on our website.

Excellent Service. I had an Ascosa Dream Machine Espresso Machine that required repair, it was outside warranty and I do not live within the Seattle Metro area. I dealt with staff only by telephone and the staff I dealt with, Gail and Henry, were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were completely familiar with the machines technical requirements and what to do. I shipped the machine, they called me to advise what was at issue, how much the repairs would cost and how to ensure no future problems might arise. They were absolutely great. The machine was shipped back to me and it runs better than ever. A big thank you to Seattle Coffee Gear. I won't be going anywhere else for my coffee gear needs!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE -- BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!. This company has horrible customer service. Buyer beware, if you are not satisfied with your order or product they could care less. Be sure about what you are buying before ordering from this place. Their prices are also quite high in comparison to other places. You can buy the Gaggia Titanium machine for 1/2 the price at costco. $1299 at SCG vs. $699 at Costco. Really? And at least costco has a no questions asked return policy.

What a rare buying experience!. Wow! I have been so dragged down over the holidays, struggling with terrible customer service from many companies. Speaking with seattlecoffeegear on the phone was a delightful experience! They truly care about their customers, and it shows with their attitude and patience. Gale, one of their associates, was very candid about the espresso machines I was considering, and made several beneficial suggestions to guide me in my choice. Loved the communication, the shipping was lightening-fast, and the machine looks perfect in my new kitchen!!! Highly recommended to you and yours!

Received refurbished espresso machine instead of new. Consumers be aware, this company sells refurbished espresso machines but advertize them as new. I ordered one for a gift and it was too late to return it at the time I realized it was not a new machine.

Machine arrived!. We are 100% thrilled with the service that we received from Seattle Coffee Gear. After shopping around and speaking with a number of online-etailers, we spoke with SCG about our intentions to purchase a Gaggia espresso machine.

The salesperson pointed out a few things about the machine and suggested two alternatives. They seemed to know what our needs were before we did! We ordered on 12/15, right in the heat of the holiday season this year, and it shipped on.....12/15! We received it yesterday, 12/18, and have been up half the night becoming acquainted with our new Gaggia. We will certainly recommend this company to everybody we know, spread the word! Thank you for your excellent, timely, professional service. A+ and 6 stars!

Best service online, fast shipment. Customer service is a fading trend these days. Seattle Coffee Gear is resurrecting this lost art. Every time I have ordered from this company, I get immediate feedback, confirmation, and my order usually ships the day of or the day after I ordered it. Amazing! Pleasant to talk to on the phone, knowledgeable about their products, and I would buy a machine from them in a heartbeat. Thank you!!!!!!

False Price Advertisement on Web. Called Seattle Coffee Gear to purchase Pasquini Coffee Grinder advertised as "Open Box". Confirmed availability. Told to order on-line. Ordered with credit card. Received copy via email of transaction.

SCG called two days later to state that unit was sold. Would not back their advertised price & advised the Better Bus Bur that the purchase order was for a Doserless unit (dishonest). Despite my producing records indicating otherwise they were less than honest. I would not suggest doing business with a company that won't stand behind their advertised price & lack of integrity.

In retrospect I expected too much from this company. Integrity nor class can be bought not learned.

Espressodealer gave me a much better price than SCG offered after their falsely advertised price was revoked. Bait & Switch? You decide.
