Jill is the owner and designer at Aldebaran. She's worked on my site a *LOT*, but I have to be upfront and tell you that she's also my wife. Jill made an online customer database for me, as well as a registration system that frees up tons of time for me every week. I actually designed my own website, but Jill knows more programming than I do and made it so that my website was truly state-of-the-art. Her engineering and computer science training make her a great designer, but her psychology background makes it so that she can talk with the rest of us. She has an uncanny knack of figuring out what my business website needs to keep me from burning out. Before her work on my site, I thinking of hiring an assitant, but dreading it. Now I do less administrative work and still have more time to train dogs. Some of her work on the Ahimsa Dog Training site is at DoggieZen (dot) com/class-schedule.html [replace the (dot) with a real period - citysearch won't let me put the real way into this review.] and from there you can look at the more complicated puppy class registration, which she also did. (go to the menu and choose from there) She also made a database of dogs looking for other dogs to play with in Seattle. It's at DoggieZen (dot) com/dog-matchmaker-list.html The impressive part is that it looks really small and tidy to the user (that's us), while the part "under the hood" is extremely complicated. I do know some programming, but I'm not as organized as Jill. I'm amazed at how much she comments her code, so it's easy to go back later and change things. She designs websites and also does website maintenance and shopping cart customization, which I hope to have her do for my business sometime soon. There are lots of testimonials on her website from customers who aren't her wife. ;)
Pros: Has integrity, does quality work, female, local, nice to technophobes
Cons: Seems to be addicted to website design...
