Over-rated, over-priced, rude service!. I visit spas regularly and was greatly disappointed by Spa Blix, and in fact have never been treated so badly by any service person in my life before my experience there! I had scheduled a manicure/pedicure with a girlfriend of mine so we could get them together. When I showed up, my friend was late and called my cell phone, which was on silent, but I had it out so I saw her call. She told me that she had been trying to reach the Spa on their phone line, but no one was picking up for over an hour. She was lost and forgot her wallet at home, so she was going to be late. It was just then that the store manager came out and yelled in my face that "no cell phones were allowed in her store" and then walked away. I had no idea, and was in the waiting area, but also my phone never made any sound, and I didn't say anything but "okay, and let me ask someone here". How rude! Then, to top it off, the store manager and her employees began to ghossip about my being on the phone "in a spa" behind the room divider where I could perfectly hear them. Why didn't they answer their phone when my friend was trying to call instead of ghossiping about me? I was so put off that I was thinking about leaving, when a different woman came out to take me back to get my pedicure. I figured I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and just hope my friend could get there eventually. The pedicure was terrible, I am tall and my legs didn't fit in the permanent, screwed into the floor foot tub. I had to contort in an odd sideways sitting position to get my feet in. The water the woman used was too hot and burned my feet, the quality of the overall services was bad, and I had to do all this without being able to be next to my friend. When my friend showed up about 20 minutes into my service, after my pedicure was done, they started her and we were separated the whole time. It was terrible. I ended up waiting 40 minutes for my friend to get done with her mani/pedi. To top it off, I was charged an outrageous amount for the services that I got. I will never be going there again and have told everyone I know how rude the manager and employees were, how mis-managed the place was, and how bad the services are for the price. It seemed like the hair stylist guy did well and his customers seemed happy, that was about the only plus I saw to that place. It was a WANNABE spa - an over-decorated, amateur, attempt at a spa. I'd say go anywhere else but here!

Misleadeing Advertising and Poor Manicure. I went to Spa Blix with a Groupon that I had purchased for a Mani/Pedi. While the location is great, not in the middle of downtown, and the décor welcoming, that is where my compliments end. 2 of my friends and I had booked Mani/Pedi's for the same time. We were all brought back to the Spa waiting area to fill out paperwork. Then, my friends were brought back for their Pedicure's while I sat waiting for about 10 minutes until a staff member came to get me to do my Manicure. I wouldn't have minded that I wasn't able to get a Pedicure with my friends 1. Had they told us when we made our appointments that they can only service 2 Mani/Pedis at a time and 2. If someone had told me sooner than 10 minutes into my wait that I wasn't going to be doing a spa day with my friends.

My Manicure service was fine, and the nail technician friendly, but the results were poor. The base coat was applied, and then the color immediately after. The technician must have shaken the bottle, because I have bubbles all over my nails. Additionally, it was applied so thick, that I woke up the next morning with creases in my polish because each of the layers were not given a chance to dry prior to the next layer being applied. The day after my service, I removed my Manicure, as my nails looked terrible with the polish.

Finally, the Groupon was purchased as a $70 service for $29 that was supposed to include a mask on our hands and feet as part of the treatment. There was no mask applied. And when checking out and asking about how much the service was (not recalling what was in the deal) so I could tip appropriately, I was told that it was a $40 service. Meanwhile, my friend who received the exact same service, but did so out of pocket and not with a Groupon, was told that her services was $29. I cannot figure out why our services that were exactly the same, were different prices and how I paid for $70 worth of services but only received $40. While you may wonder why I didn't speak up sooner, the spa is darker and I was not able to see my nails until after I had left. And in regards to my Groupon, I wanted to double check the services quoted in the Groupon.

While I am extremely disappointed that the Groupon I purchased was misleading, and some may argue false advertising, my overall experience has made it so I will not be returning to Spa Blix. I have received far cheaper Manicures with superior results. The hour was relaxing, but I will be relaxing in another nail salon from now on.

Best Spa Ever. Absolutely wonderful!! Atmosphere and decor are out of this world, and the services will make you feel like youre floating on a cloud. Wonderful customer service and yummy tea. The facial i got left my skin glowing and the massage revived my tired muscles, all at a steal with the summer specials they are running. If you are need of some spa time Spa Blix is the place to go. Plus they use natural, eco-friendly products.

Healing touch. If you want holistic beauty at its best, this is the place to go. Their esthetician, Victoria Raisky has recently moved here from New York, where she dedicated the last 10 years to her art of holistic facials and healing.

Her touch is to die for and she doesn't just treat your skin, she treats your whole being, bringing out the glow from the inside.

Spa Blix. Care To Share With Friends? Spa Blix 213 Yale Ave N Seattle, WA 98109 (206) 274-5681 4/29/2010 Steffanie is a great nail artist!!. I was in great need of a manicure and was able to get in for the date and time that was convenient for me.

Thankfully, Steffanie was able to take care of my dry cuticles and the french manicure looks great. I appreciate most of all, Spa Blix uses only natural products without all those chemically harmful ingredients.

I plan to return for more of their services they have to offer- massage, facials and waxing.
