Great place for kids cuts!. Our son see's Kelly at Beach Comber Kids Cuts, and we love her! Our son is 2 and a half and has Autism, and Kelly is always super patient and understanding-- and our son is very comfortable with her. Truly a great place and worth every penny!

Amazing! Amazing!!. Due to a past experience at completely different salon my son was terrified of having his hair cut. I made an appointment at Beach Comber's due to reviews I had read. I am SO pleased with the hair cut and the service that I had received. Our stylist did an amazing job. My son's hair looks amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone with children. My son told me loved his new "beautiful hair cut" and that he wasn't scared anymore. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Avoid this place!. I took my son to Beach Combers for his first haircut and it was a horrible experience. The place was chaotic when we arrived and no one greated us. The stylist did not offer my son a cape, so hair got EVERYWHERE. She sprayed water on me twice (instead of on my son) and scraped me with the scissors more than twice. She did not appear to know how to cut a child's hair, especially for a first haircut. She kept complaining that her long fake nails were getting in the way. On top of all that, my son's hair looked awful; it was choppy and not even.

Another stylist offered to help fix it and I believe that she was the owner, but she didn't apologize even though she witnessed everything that had occured. I finally told her that I was very disappointed with the experience and she told me that there would be no charge for the haircut, but she still didn't apologize.

I'll never go back. My friends have had great experiences at the salon at U Village. That's where we'll be going for all future haircuts.

Re: Bad Experience. The stylist you saw is no longer with us. This is not how I would like my customers to be treated. Sorry your experience was not great!

Bad Experience. My experience here was awful. When you come in they ask your child to pick out a video to watch. Just as the dvd gets going the stylist asks my child to look at the ground and keep her head down, and this goes on for about 10 minutes. Naturally my child was frustrated about not being able to watch the video. The stylist was in a hurry, lacking in patience, and clearly annoyed. Children pick up easily on these things and it made my child uncomfortable. She also attempted to move my child's neck to the side with out sufficient warning and hurt my child's neck. I can only speak for the stylist we had to deal with, and I can't remember her name, but I'll never go back there. We went to Scream in Ballard and my daughter had a lovely experience because the stylist was patient and kind to my child-no dvd or special animal shaped chair needed. And Scream is less expensive! Ask for Judy. I've also had positive experiences at Lil Klippers in the Wallingford center.
