In Short – An eccentric wait staff shouts over music blaring from the kitchen at this 24-hour café. The bar is generously stocked with whisky and vodka, a pool table and a long list of greasy appetizers like mozzarella sticks and chili cheese fries. After a few rounds of pool, customers are ready for the infamous 12-egg omelet with all-you-can-eat hashbrowns, or a stack of pancakes drenched in fruit toppings and whipped cream.

Hurricane Cafe, A Delicious Dive to dive into!

by ladyk99

My hubby and I went there, while staying a week in Seattle,Wash.I would recommend this "local dive"! Their wait staff was attentive..and asked if you needed anything..and checked on you as well. They have good foods there...I loved their sandwich melts, and their crunchy fish and chips as well as their yummy breaded onion rings..My hubby enjoyed their pancakes alot.

They have a good list of pale ales..and more. They are close to the downtown hotels,as well as the Space Needle, among other Seattle attractions. They are also open 24 hours ,prices range from $4.75 on up.

They have a juke box full of many oldies but goodies...and some fairly recent as well. They also have several pinball machines, and a bar on the side.

This is a good "local hang out", recommended more for visitors and locals...it isn't really a good place for children..but, you can take them, if there isn't any other place to go, or that is open..the food is good.

My hubby and I ,really liked this cafe, and would recommend it to anybody!!

I'd rate this four stars at the most!!

(The only thing I think might help would be that they fix their "booth" seats...as they were falling apart, and some "rock"! LOL! .Other notes:..this cafe has been there since the 1920's!! But, it is still a great place to go!!!)

  • Pros: open 24 hours, good wait staff, great foods, great beers, nice place to hang or talk.
  • Cons: seats in booths need to be fixed, but, other than that...nothing else.
