Aweful experience

My wife and I went there looking for the Julias we knew from wallingford - simple healthy ingredients. Instead, it was more attitude than quality. More fancy than we expected. And, our meals were not good. And the atmosphere was surprisingly formal.
The worst part for us - we told the waitress we had a son with allergies to egg, dairy, and nut. After realizing there was nothing on the menu he could have, we settled on the kids burger. Turns out they put egg in it! The waitress/hostess didn't even know. What a scare! Luckily, I tasted it when I saw there were onions in it. Who would put onions and eggs in a kids burger? I was shocked. We left.
This one is really uncomfortable in many ways. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
- Pros: Nice looking deck.
- Cons: Too many to list.

I like to go up to Queen Anne on a weekly basis and take a good long hill walk. I've always walked past Julia's and been curious about the restaurant, how the food is, etc. Today was the first day that my husband and I visited. I loved the place! We walked in, and the environment was cozy, down-to-earth and nicely decorated. The service was great, and the food was even better. I had the tofu breakfast, and was genuinely impressed with the sauce that they served on/in the tofu and mushrooms. The potatoes were great, and once again...the service was super friendly and down to earth.
I would definitely go back, and thank you Julia's for being great at what you do.
- Pros: Food, Client Relations, Ambience, Value, Location
- Cons: None
