Huge array of veggie options, brown rice, and all the standard meat fare. Super friendly. I'm not sure why they're not more well known. So highly superior to Thai Ginger across the street, the worst service IOC all I've ever encountered worldwide!
Best pho in Factoria/Bellevue. I must have visited Square Lotus 50 times or more. They have the best pho and pork chop, not to mention everything else. The owner and staff treat you like family, great people!
Terrible service, so so food. The food was okay--not great, but edible. The service was horrible. Offensively so. We were parked at a table and ignored--people who'd walked in at the same time us were being served appetizers before we'd even been able to order. We were left for over 30 minutes with no drinks and no appetizers--then the aps were served with dinner. Won't be coming back!
If I could give them six stars, I would. I have been a regular for at least two years and they are AMAZING. I am vegan and I love the options they offer - the faux fish is especially good, but it is ALL good. And the staff is nothing short of incredible. They know me, and they remember my order even when I mix it up from time to time. The service is fast and polite, they are always working hard, and they are just great people. We just love The Lotus and I think everyone should go there and eat as often as they can to support a great local family business. I guess my only change would be to go full veggie/vegan (no meat). :)
Great Pho at a Great Price. We go here fairly often - it's our default "comfort food" when we want something warm in the winter or cool in the summer. The pho is great; they have many varieties, including as many veggie versions as there are meaty ones. The House Special Noodle Bowl (vermicelli with pork, shrimp and an egg roll) is perfect for a warm summer day, and they're perfectly happy to substitute ingredients if you'd rather have chicken than pork, or want something more vegetarian. The staff are very friendly and polite. You wouldn't guess that a little restaurant nestled in the corner of a grocery store mall would be a local gem, but it is.
Great dinner, great service, and great price!. This place was great! We had a long day of work and were looking for a fast, fresh meal - and this was it. We are also both veggies, so the half "normal"/half vegetarian menu was great. We split the Veggie Summer Rolls, and each had our own entree (tofu green curry and veggie special vermicelli noodles). Both were really great! The service was also prompt, friendly and accomodating. Overall, a wonderful night out!
The best Mango Salad ever!. I work in Factoria and this place is within walking distance of my office - boy am I lucky! This place is great! The Red Curry is flavorful, rich and of perfect consistency! But you ABSOLUTELY must enjoy the Mango Salad. Everything about it is heavenly! The crisp mango, jimaca, carrots, prawns and dressing is oh so perfectly paired together. I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life and die a happy girl. Just that tasty. Always order it and share it with a girlfriend paired with the tasty Spring Rolls. A very delightful, healthy and yummy lunch! Service is great - always prompt and polite. Good take out experience! Overall A+ for a simple little Thai joint!
Unexpectedly good. I didn't expect this place to be good when we came - it was just convenient and on the way home. The lights are really dim from the outside and for a long time we never even knew it was there. There were 4 or 5 other full tables when we came in and we were seated right away. My mother and I didn't know what many of the dishes were and the waiter was very helpful. We ordered the papaya salad, bbq pork shrimp rolls, and a bowl of beef pho. The salad came first, and it wasn't what we expected at all, but it was great. The papaya wasn't the sweet, soft orange kind we expected but a crunchy, refreshing white papaya. The presentation was nice and the salad was tangy and crisp. The waiter was very helpful when we asked questions about what was in it and where we could buy these papayas. The spring rolls weren't the best I've had, but they were good enough that there were no leftovers. The rolls were smaller than we expected but tasted fresh and light like they're supposed to. The soup was good too - lots of noodles, just spicy enough, tasty broth, lots of sprouts and basil. I'm not an expert on vietnamese food but I was pleasantly surprised and would come again. It's definitely worth your visit if you're in the neighborhood.
