Dermatology of Seattle

Life Changing. I’ve cried three times so far. After being referred to Dermatology of Seattle for hyperhidrosis, I met with Dr. Levy who told me that Botox injections could treat my hyperhidrosis. I started to cry. After living with hyperhidrosis since I was about twelve years old, the idea of being able to live without it was overwhelming.

The next step was to ensure that my insurance would cover the Botox and procedure. Two weeks after submitting the paperwork to my insurance company I received a letter denying coverage. I cried for the second time. Dr. Levy told me about some other options, but their side effects were more than I could risk. Instead of giving up, Dr. Levy and his team kept working to contact Allergan, the product provider, to see if they would give me a sample dose for free. I had given up on any chance of this working out, probably so that I wouldn’t have to deal with the disappointment again, but about a week later, one of the assistants from Dermatology of Seattle called to tell me that they received the free product sample and I could be given the injections the following day due to a cancelation. I could hardly believe I would get the chance to experience life normally. After the phone call, I sat at work and cried for the third time. I kept wondering if this was really going to work.

I received the treatment with the understanding that it would take a few days to a week to be effective. The procedure was simple, quick, and almost painless. The best part, the next day I didn’t sweat. I woke up, put on one shirt, and didn’t take it off until I went to bed. It was an amazing day for me.

Now, three days after the procedure, I haven’t had any negative side effects, and I haven’t sweated at all. Less than a week has passed and my life has changed. I wear one set of clothes, I’m warm and comfortable, and I’m significantly more successful at work. Without the constant worry, embarrassment, and emotional and physical discomfort of hyperhidrosis I am better able to focus on my responsibilities and truly enjoy my days.

I am writing this review for two reasons. First, I am writing to those who have helped me through this process. I want to thank the team at Dermatology of Seattle for changing my life; your professionalism, persistence, and care are what made this possible. I also want to thank Allergan for providing me with the product that I could not afford in order to allow me to experience life without this debilitating condition. Secondly, and most importantly, I am writing this review to convince anyone considering this treatment to take action. I will never live with hyperhidrosis again. I don’t think anyone should suffer from it. Please get this treatment for yourself, because it will change your life.…

A bad experience. I think I will write this review. I was 5 minutes late today for an appointment to Dermatology of Seattle with DOCTOR Levy. After reading all of the positive responses, I thought he actually cares.

The first impression is usually the correct one, and here is what I got - THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. I came in with all of my forms filled out, 5 minutes late, gave all of my forms for the receptionist (who was kept telling me I need to reschedule because I AM LATE, instead of trying to be understanding and polite), and after she spent 5 minutes inputting the info into computer, she told me I am 10 minutes late now.

I saw Dr. Levy catching up on some paperwork in the distance, I asked them if I can just ask Dr. Levy if I can see him, they wouldn't let me talk to him.

They said it's "unfair to other patients who show up on time" .

I was the last patient of the day?? HUH?? Who will show up after me?

Then I was informed that Dr. Levy is busy now because he has stuff to do, so I asked, well if I was on time, he wouldn't be busy with that paperwork now, right??

I definitely do not recommend this clinic. 1)unpleasant staff (most of them) 2) doctor who doesn't care 3) they treat you like a number, not like a patient.…

Get your skin problems solved!. I am pleased to recommend Dr. Levy for solutions to skin problems. I have been a patient for several years and he is unfailingly kind, thorough, prompt, professional and fixes whatever my problem is - skin tags - wart or mole removal - checking that something is or is not cancerous. Great Dr's and team!. I was referred to Dr. Rosewater at Dermatology of Seattle last Sept for a burn. I was the victim of an attack that left me with a swastika burned into my skin among multiple other injuries. Dr. Rosewater removed the branded area of skin surgically and made sure I had full function of my wrist (mobility and flexibility). Im not very good with words or writing, so forgive me, but what he did for me really changed my outlook on myself. I'm beyond thrilled with the outcome, I was happy just having the burn gone, but Dr. Rosewater saw thru and made sure everything went smoothly, and healed properly. He did a fantastic job, and I'm so happy with the results!

Dr. Rosewater and the crew at Dermatology of Seattle have secured a special place in my heart for removing (and making it look great) something that was a constant reminder of that year and the people that put it there, and the constant fear that it would be accidently seen and offend someone. Dr. Rosewater removed something that had nothing to do with my views and attitude towards others. I have no fears now because its gone, its been eliminated, and the area looks great! I'm forever grateful for this extremely talented and kind man! Thankyou to Dr. Rosewater and everyone at Dermatology of Seattle- you guys rock!…
