Worth the trip even if you don't live in Ballard. You don't need to go to a crowded downtown salon for great talent. Lizzie (very talented) at Grow cuts my hair and it is always a joy to go to this cute little pocket neighborhood and this lovely salon. Everywhere I go someone asks me who cuts my hair. Even if you don't live in Ballard, this salon is worth the trip. They also have fabulous organic products that are a wonderful value.

Better than Gravy. Growing up with a Mother born & bred in the south means you grow up developing a deep love of gravy, okra, sliced tomatoes, sweet tea, a near militant need to say please and thank you and of course the potent knowledge that those with good hair will be admitted to the kingdom of heaven.

One of my earliest memories of Mom is at a hair salon; mind you I was three which is when every little girl in my family at least is taken to the temple of beauty to get a proper coiffing. I vividly recall my mom actually letting me touch her hair for what may have been the first time...she sweetly cooed "this my darlin is what fresh color feels like" as I ran my chubby baby fingers over her golden silky locks I knew what was possible.

For years I have been pining for a skilled artisan to keep me looking and feeling brand new.

I have been with Kesli for nearly a year and let me tell you....my hair is ogled, lusted after and generally ooohed over. I know it may sound boastful but truth is truth...my hair is healthy, shiny and the cut, oh the cut.

A truly great cut lasts and lasts even when I wait 8 weeks it still behaves which is no small accomplishment for my naturally curly mane. I confess, my hair is even more luxurious then my Mother's. What can I say..I'm a listener.

So if you are searching for a comfortable, well kept, beautifully designed sanctuary where you feel genuinely cared for with out being fussed over give Grow Salon a ring and feel beautiful.

If you are looking for personal attention with your salon/hair stylist, call Grow Salon...... KESLI IS AMAZING!!! I have been so happy with her technique attention to detail, and passion for style. She has been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair for years! It's nice to see her open up her own place. Her warmth, friendliness, and love for her profession is noticeable from the minute you walk through the door. All the stylists and staff at Grow Salon treat you very, very, well. Something that is hard to find with larger salons. What a gem she has created for the Ballard/Crown Hill/Greenwood area!

Great and Professional Service. I walked into Grow Salon on NW 80th in Ballard and made an appointment for the next day. Everyone was really welcoming. Usually as a guy it is hard for me to find a salon where I feel comfortable, but this space definitely appeals to both men and women. The next time I need a haircut I will call and request that I get the same stylist, as I have gotten so many compliments on my hair in the last week!

highly skilled at cutting , styling, and coloring thick curly hair.. i always look forward to my appointments at grow salon. The stylists are extremely knowledgeable , friendly and talented. The salon has a hip yet unpretentious ambience with fair prices. a convient location great coffee next door and good food close by. i feel beautiful after every appointment!!!!
