I completely agree with the other review, Tobey Rodriguez is the best. She is so helpful and genuinely excited to make you a cake. Completely accommodating and mindful of budget and style as well. We loved her so much we also bought Mother’s day and birthday cakes and she paid equal attention to the single cakes as the big wedding one. She is also able to accomplish something many other bakers can’t, making a frosting that is not sickly sweet or too bland she seems to understand just the right balance of the 2 so guests can easily have more than 1 piece (if they have room). I highly recommend her Chocolate blackout/ganache and almond with almond paste cakes. Pros: Reasonable prices, offers monthly group tastings or by appointment private Cons: Hard to find / park

Tobey Rodriguez is great! Our cake looked amazing and she offered free delivery downtown. One of the other things that impressed me w/her was that she was willing to make a cake (and even a trial one!!) of the cake we wanted - a sponge cake (she did a vanillia flavored one) with two fresh fruit layers, one of honeydew and one of cantaloupe with a lighter buttercream frosting (she made white Italian buttercream ). She suggested putting some Bavarian cream with the fruit to keep its juices from seeping and it tasted wonderful! We didn't use her best talent, which is creating very realistic sugar flowers. Also, if you contact her for your 1 year anniversary, she will make you a layer of your cake! (you don't have to worry about freezing and keeping it)

Pros: willing to work w/you on original ideas, has been in magazines

Cons: hard to park there during the week
