Insurance Hard Sell.. The staff here at the downtown Enterprise are friendly enough, but watch out for the hard sell they give you on taking their car insurance policy. I had to decline 3 times. So it's painfully obvious that these guys have major financial incentives to get customers onto their insurance plans.

I live downtown and rent all the time, and I have rented at every car company over the past 8 years: Hertz, Avis, Dollar (the best), National and Alamo. The only place I get the hard sell is at Enterprise. The last time I rented here (the very last time) I booked using the national reservation system, only to arrive at this location in the morning and find they had no cars and that I had to wait until 4 p.m.

Buyer Beware. I rented a car from these folks for 18 days and made the mistake of accepting the insurance on the vehicle. I later found out that as I had my own car insurance I did not need it.

Now I guess it's my own fault for not knowing that my insurance covered rentals, but if someone at Enterprise had actually asked me if I had insurance when explaining their coverage I am sure I would have said no. Just seems like they were trying to make a underhanded dollar, which ended up being about $500 by the end of the rental.

The only reason I don't give them a one is the people I spoke to personally when I returned the car seemed genuinely interested in at least trying to make the situation better.

So, maybe my own fault, but buyer beware on the insurance.
