A great time. I went on a date to Entre Nous 8/24 and it was my first time there.

I was very impressed. The wine selection is excellent and every plate on the menu sounds delicious. The menu is seasonal, and because of this you can expect new and different items on the menu. Some restaurants just don't do that anymore and it is to be commended.

The stuffed tomatoes, stuffed onion, the duck confit and the lamb nicoise salad are HIGHLY suggested... that pretty much is what we had and i'll order it again .... once i get through the rest of the menu that is.

But what do you expect? The chef is originally from france and he knows how to do things right. the decorating in the place is moody and relaxing... one suggestion.. better chairs please... i found the chairs very uncomfy.

But criticism aside, the service is excellent and if you're lucky enough you can meet the chef. I had this pleasure of meeting him during my meal and you can really tell (and taste) he loves what he does.

Perfectly charming.. I would hesitate to call it the MOST romantic restaurant I've ever been to, but agree with the first reviewer on everything else. The food is great--though the portions do vary. It's best to ask before ordering just depending on how hungry you are. The couple that owns it will charm your socks off. It feels very authentic and welcoming, even though it is an odd location. (Tough block. Kudos to the owners for sprucing it up.) Great for lunch or dinner, or just to pop in and unwind with a drink. I haven't tried brunch yet, but have high hopes.

The Real Deal!. My husband is French and I can honestly say that we have eaten at every French restaurant in the city?some more often than others. So, after our friends told us about a new ?authentic? French restaurant that opened up downtown, we were in a hurry to get there. Although we had originally planned to go with another couple, they cancelled at the last minute so we wound up there on Friday night by ourselves...and could not have been happier about it. First, Entre Nous is probably the most romantic place I have ever been to. The walls are a deep wine red, it has black and white checkered floors, there are flowers and candles everywhere and to top it off ? there was an old black and white movie playing on the ceiling. After being offered several varieties of water from an adorable waitress, we got a chance to scour the menu, which was no easy feat considering there were about 30 different things on it. I can sum it up by saying?I wanted everything! After ordering several dishes (duck breast, a lamb loin tower, mussels, a stuffed onion and green beans), we sat sipping our wine and chuckling over the reading material on our table?a guide to understanding French etiquette. Our food came out in no particular order and although some dishes were bigger than others, it all tasted divine. In my husband?s words, ?this is exactly the food that I grew up on.? When we thought the evening could not get any better, the chef came out to greet us. It turns out that he is also the owner and is originally from the South of France, too! All in all, Entre Nous was a fantastic experience. Take it from a French family ? GO THERE!
