My wifes 40th birthday was coming up and although I thought the traditional family bbq would suffice, her friends and my buddies made it glaringly obvious if I messed this up I would pay for it for a long time. Not having a good grasp on what a woman turning 40 really wanted out of a party I thankfully turned to a professional. Did you know there are certain things you shouldn't mention to a woman turning 40 ... me either, but Jody did. I owe Jody and Good Taste big time for the great party which ultimately put me in good graces for at least the next 10 years with the wife. And she helped me get the best gift too ... I really wish she would do a personal shopping division of Good Taste because that could gain me more points! If only she had been around when we got married, I probably wouldn't have ended up wearing my hair like Flock of Seagulls.

Let me bottom line it for those of you seeking a phenomenal wedding consultant or private event planner, Good Taste Events is the creme de la creme and you should look no further. From the biggest to the smallest details you can expect (and rest easy) that Jody and her staff have already thought of it and taken care of it before you can even ask for it. Our wedding was truly the best day of my life, the stress had been taken from me and my family as soon as I put my trust in Good Taste Events. Jody hand held me through the whole process and really "got" my ideas. My husband and I cringed after meeting with the frist two consultants, they just weren't "us" and then we met with Jody - everything clicked. She is so personable, professional and a load of fun that we gained a friend not just a wedding consultant. I can't stress enough the importance of having someone in your corner that knows the industry, knows trends, knows where to save money and when not to try, and in general can navigate through the painstaking process of putting on an elaborate event with so many moving parts and pieces. That kind of help is priceless. And she really does have good taste, every suggestion, sample, color, pattern, fabric and flower she came up with was so amazing, unique, and just that - "in good taste"! I would recommend Jody and Good Taste Events to anyone getting married, anywhere. And I know she knows how to throw fabulous parties too :)
