Some of the food is excellent. It was strange to see so many reviews at the extremes so I thought that I would post.

I ordered take out from this restaurant and I was very happy with the food. I ordered the Tom Kha soup and it was WONDERFUL. I love Ton Kha Kai in general, and they did a very nice job with it. Not everyone does and for the soup alone, I would go back.

The chicken satay itself was pretty plain, but the peanut sauce was excellent.

The yellow chicken curry was very nice.

We ordered two noodle dishes. The pad thai and it was OK. The other noodle dish was fine too, but neither were all that great so I will skip the noodle dishes next time.

Some of the food was really excellent and so I will be going back.

Excellent - I promise!. Excellent food! We live in North Bend, and have been driving to Issaquah for the last few years for Thai. The drives have haulted! : ) The food is amazing, I must recommend the Masaman Curry with the Crispy Pancake. It's hands down the best dish they have. I've taken friends, and out-of-towners here and they have all raved about it. Try it out for yourself, it's the best money you'll spend on dining out!

Yes, it's that bad.. Normally I wouldn't write a review unless I recommended the restaurant but the wide disparity between the prior reviews has made me step in to speak the truth. The truth?: The food is subpar. It is probably the worst Thai food I have ever had. The two reviews that are singing the praises of the restaurant has to be a) the owner, b) an employee of Talay Thai, or c) someone suffering from a terrible cold that couldn't taste anything anyways. I've had the pad thai, the pad see euw, and some other dish (can't remember the name) and unfortunately for Talay, all three dishes were tasteless, poorly seasoned, and overall a huge disappointment. I've had good Thai food, I've had mediocre/decent Thai food and Talay is quite honestly the very bottom of the pile.

You can try it once and decide for yourself....but be forewarned!

Great food!. My experiences at Talay Thai were quite pleasant. I have gone back to dine there many times. I have had Pat Thai, curries, crying tiger, drunken noodles, basil chicken, and most recently a new pork dish (I think it is called Pat Pet Moo Pa or something like that). And the girl staff (both the cook and the servers) are very pretty, and they look quite young. Judging from the setup of the place, the casual atmosphere, the music that they play, and the choices of their employees, I think this restuarant was desinged to serve cool and hip people. I can see that some rather uptight people who would expect the kind of service offerred by the W hotel to disliked this place. But for me, for the price that I pay for, and for the quality and taste of food and services that I get in return, I give it 5 stars: overall, it gives me a good return on *my* investment (ROI) when I dine there.

would not go again EVER. To be fair, we've given this place a few chances... it would be safe to say we will never go back again. Not only do they have poor service, but the food is bland and very "off" tasting. Sometimes the pad thai tastes like noodles with ketchup, tonight it tasted sour (and it had no color).

To be perfectly honest, I think any good review of this place is from a friend of the owner. We would only eat here again if we had nothing at our house to eat and everything in snoqualmie ridge was closed.

Love it. I went to Talay Thai Herbs & Spices for the first time and the experience was FANTASTIC! The food was excellent. I recommend to try their basil chicken and yellow curry. The food taste more like homemade cooking to me. In some other Asian Restaurant, I notice that they cook their food with very artificial sauce, But after talking to Talay manager, she said that they make every thing from scratch. REALLY! It shows in their food. The freshest Thai Food I've ever tested. I know they will do very well in Snoqualmie valley and I will go back there every week for sure :D

loOOOOOOOOOOve it!

Worst Experience. Talay is new in Snoqualmie. Wanted to know how the food is and here is my experience

Ordering: This is where the trouble started. It is impossible to get somebody on the phone. Nobody picks up. After repeated call, we got somebody on the phone

Pick Up: This was the next bad experience. Walked in to the restaurant. I did not see anybody there but can hear loud music. After a few minutes of wait, one teenager came out with food in their hand. Swiped my card and gave me the receipt. They did not even wait for me to return the credit card slip, let alone showing any customer service skills.

Food: . This was the worst part. We ordered Phad Thai and some stir fry.

This was the worst phad thai we ever had. It tasted like flubber. Portion size was very small though it was a dinner order.

Stir fry was even more worse. It was hardly cooked. Sauce were tasting bad and too sugary.

Over all it was one of the worst experiences and would not recommend this place.
