Bland, Overpriced Food. I ordered Super Nachos. The old joke about "the food was lousy, and the portions were so small" came to mind. Very bland and small portion, but they charged $8.95. Way overpriced for what they served.

At the end I told the waitress I was in a hurry and asked for the check. She brought it and then immediately left, even though I had the money out to pay. Seven minutes later when she had still not returned I paid for the food but the tip was a little light since I could not get change. It was not like they were busy (very small crowd) so there was no excuse for the lousy service.

Excellent food and servers. Mexican food in the area can be hard to come by. Hacienda Del Mar consistently delivers quality and food and service to my table. The chips and salsa before are always fresh and plentiful. The standard mexican staple entrees are always fresh and hot and portions are very generous. The place is impeccably clean and the wait staff is very attentive. If you like huevos rancheros they serve a good one here.
