Wonderful Restaurant. The Stone House is a wonderful find in Redmond. The menu is terrific and the tastes are very good. I'd recommend calling for a reservation since they don't have a lot of tables. Service was great too. Probably the best restaurant for foodies on the Eastside.

Surprising Find in Redmond. Incredible food in this casual but cozy venue. The staff was incredibly friendly, the menu was impressive, the wine list sufficient but the food was out of this world! My wife had the duck and I had the lamb. We almost always have both of the items when eating at a restaurant for the first time, and let me tell you, I say it's the best lamb I've ever had! My wife thought the duck was up there with the best she's had as well. We will be back for sure! Oh, did I mention the dessert? Try it for yourself! Delicious!

Excellent food and service. Had a fabulous dinner here last night. Pork tenderloin with pumpkin sauce, gnochi, and brussels. It was melt in your mouth good. They finish the night with brownies that makes you want more. I'd go back in heartbeat!

Outstanding food, friendly service!. We've become regulars of The Stone House Cafe over the last several months that they've been open. We probably eat here at least every other week and sometimes as often as once a week. The food is fabulous and as others have mentioned the happy hour deals can't be beat. Right now they have Half-Price Bottle of Wine Tuesdays and between that and the Happy Hour specials we can enjoy an outstanding multi-course meal for two, bottle of wine, and dessert for 50-60 dollars. As other's have mentioned the chef's family often helps out at the cafe and everyone we've met has been exteremely friendly. We also appreciate their efforts to source locally and seasonally when possible.

excellent food and service. This is my first message. My friend and I went to this restaurant for lunch and had sandwiches that were unique and tasty. We didn?t know what to expect since I had never heard anything about this restaurant. The sandwich board that we saw from the road brought us in.

After we went, I took my daughter there for dinner. After looking at the menu we realized that there wasn't much that my daughter would like to eat because she is allergic to wheat and dairy. The server was great, she had the chef (who is also the owner) come out and they arranged what my daughter wanted only wheat and dairy free. She had a pear and Prosciutto salad minus the brie and Balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a chicken and Pear Panini without the bread. The server also overheard that my daughter was cold, (I thought the temperature was fine) she asked her if she wanted a blanket. They have them for when they have outside seating and it gets a little chilly. So here is my daughter wrapped in a blanket with amazing food and very content. As for my favorites I highly recommend the squash bisque; it is so good that I sighed after the first bit.

I have been back for lunch and had a half of Yellow Fin tuna Melt sandwich and Squash Bisque soup. Love the soup, have I mentioned that? The service, food and atmosphere have never disappointed me. A few cons would be the menu print; it is hard to read where each item ends and a new one begins because of the font however, the server helped us with that. Also it can be a bit pricey but most restaurants are if they have good, fresh food. BTW I have also had their desserts. Yummy!

A Great New Restaurant in Redmond!!. We had heard good things about the Stone House Cafe and Chef Donaldson, so thought we'd go there for lunch. We were very happy with our decision. It's an adorbale little cafe perfect for conversation. If you go one must try his butternut squash bisque, it was amazing, served at perfect temperature, creamy in texture and so flavorful! Dessert was just as delicious...bananas w/ vanilla ice cream, coconut and caramel (a friend who is not so fond of coconut even loved it). The staff was friendly, gracious and attentive. For a new restaurant to have great food and an excellent staff, it's sure to become a local favorite.

New Owners. Just re-opened in September. Fantastic Food! Fresh Local Products. Moderate pricing.. The Stone House is a 1914 House that has beautiful tree surroundings and a relaxing interior. The new owner have added a bar and repainted. The menu has unique small plate ($3-$10) and large plate $10-$20) using local fresh products. The flavors are amazing. We were told that the menu will change regularly based on availability of fresh products. That means that the Beet and Fig salad that I fell in love with will be alter when fresh figs are no longer available. I had the classic BLT, which was anything but classic. My wife had the Dungeness Crab Melt. We also had the smoked chicken wings which were amazing. The service was great but not annoyingly attentive. It is a small setting which allows for a more casual place to take a date or meet a friend. It is not very busy right now, but if they keep the flavor and quality of the food, this place is going to become packed. Lunch parking can be difficult (hey, it?s Redmond), but spots open up at night. There are a number of reserved spots along side.

PS - If the weather is halfway decent, sit out side. They have a heater and the court yard is great.

Horrible Service. My wife, son and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time now, ever since someone recommended the sandwiches to us. Today we started our Sunday like most Sundays with swim lessons for my son and like usual my son was starving afterwards. We had an hour and a half until he was scheduled to get his hair cut. We decided to try the Stone House Cafe since we had plenty of time. When we walked in it was a very nice looking place. Very bright and welcoming. After sitting down it took someone 15 minutes before they even got us a menu. From the point we ordered it took one hour before we finally gave up and left. 35 minutes after we ordered we were told it would be 10 more minutes. 25 minutes after that point we walked out. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables ahead of us and it was taking as long for everyone. We ordered a two scrambled eggs for our son and those did come out very quickly, otherwise we would not have been able to wait as long as we did. We also ordered our son a cup of soup, that came out after 45 minutes and was stone cold. I cannot even rate the food because the service was so bad, that my wife and I didn't get to eat.
