Security will harrass you and judge you. I never shop here because I cant figure out why the security is so incredibly hostile and rude. Years ago I went to the juniors dept and noticed a very obvious "undercover" security officer looking at every thing that I did, she watched me and everytime I noticed she'd dart her eyes away as if she was slick. I went to the dressing room, she went there too and went in the one next to me. I didnt like what I tried on so I left and went upstairs and she followed me into the jelewery section and then, she must have noticed I figured it out so they sent in a guy to harrass me instead. I looked at him and said, "I know you're following me, I'm not an idiot" and he lifted his wrist to his mouth and said, "she just spoke to me" WTF!

Worst thing is I have told that story many times and found that many other girls I know, all mixed or black by the way, were followed in the SAME WAY!!! That is crazy, incredibly biased or something is going on there with the security department. They are very biased. They will judge you, harrass you, they could car less if you are there to shop they would rather have you OUT. Same reason why they are the only Macys in the whole state who doesnt actively sell any urban attire (baby phat, rocawear, etc.)

I even complained to the manager who just sided with them.

SOUTHCENTER AND BELLEVUE MACY'S HAVE WAY BETTER BUYERS TOO, I don't know who buys the clothes they sell at northgate but it looks like ross down there, horrible selection. I am sure the other Macy's have security just as tight, but at least I don't have to know if they're watching me, at least I can enjoy my shopping. You are losing alot of customers NORTHGATE!
