Exactly what we needed for my son!. We took my son to Sylvan this year, 4th grade, because he had struggled with his reading since 1st grade. Extra help at school wasn't proving to be effective and he shut down when my wife and I tried to help at home. We were really concerned about him ever being able to catch up and it was making his entire experience at school a struggle.

The folks at Sylvan worked with us not to just to identify that he needed help, but identified specific skills he was missing. He received instruction for about 4.5 months about three times a week and the results are amazing. Not only has my son shown that he has learned those skills but his his performance at school and his overall attitude about schoolwork have taken a 180 degeree turn for the better. We couldn't be happier. My son loved it and asked if he could go back. We're not going back, but his enthusiasm about it caused me to write this review. We were very happy with the results of our daughter's math tutoring at Sylvan. I can only say good things about Sylvan's program! We were very impressed with the academic growth our daughter made in her math program. Another area I was very impressed with was scheduling. We would need to change times for whatever reason and it was always easy to do (most of the time). They have an entire team of professional teachers who specialize in different subjects.
