great location, great staff, great stuff, great store. Swerve is great. I am always made welcome by the cordial and well informed staff. They always seem able to make cross-genre suggestions based on what I am purchasing, causing me to buy more (thank goodness the prices are very reasonable). Special orders are not a problem, they even shipped stuff to my mom! I was able to get lots of stocking stuffers from the huge $5.00 DVD section (lot's of new and used cd's as well).

A MUST READ =). For everyone's information these are the highlights of Swerve located on 1st and Pine:

-friendly servcie

-hundreds of 5 dollar DVD's

-GREAT music selection for everyone i.e. ; rock, jazz, blues, electronic, rap, bluegrass, international, zydeco, soul r'n'b, classical and more...

-AWESOME movie selection to: TV show boxsets, foreign, GLBT, musicals, martial arts, etc...

-they also do special orders!!!! which helps alot =) and if you're not local they also ship out special orders =)

-also they get new release's every tuesday!!!

-and for those VHS lovers ALL VHS are only 2 bucks which have to be the cheapest in town, they even have a 1 dollar section for VHS!!!

all and all great location, great service and wonderful atmosphere you can just chill and listen to music and browse =)

a MUST visit!!!!

a respite from the busy Market!. so let's say that yr walking through the Market and yr enjoying a Piroshki and have a hankering for that latest CD or DVD?....or yr not in the mood for another boring Tuesday night and want to browse and be surprised? go no further than Swerve!...where else Downtown can one go for awesome prices and an ever expanding collection? the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always eager to suggest something for you...not too mention if there is something you want that they do not have it, they can usually order for you and get it a couple days later!!...that is supply and demand at its zenith!

Best cd/ dvd/ record store in down town seattle.. From the owner - we are super stoked to be part of the Pike Place Market. We are on the corner of 1st & Pine - the second major entrance to the Park Place Market. We are dedicated to selling dvds/ cds/ vinyl at cheap prices - we have a huge section of used $5 dvds that we replenish daily. All our vhs are $2 each. We have used vinyl for $2 each, and a small section of new vinyl. We sell new release dvds/ cds and we can order you anything new. Come on in and visit us!
