My wife's wedding ring was stolen from this store. They are unresponsive, have no concern for their customers, and don't seem to care about the fact they are about to be sued.

LOVE,LOVE. LOVE, LOVE this tanning salon. Not only is the staff amazing but they have the best beds and service. Always have clean towels in the room as well as water available for guest after/before they tan. I am pretty fair skinned and I never burn. I am able to keep a pretty tan, which I have never been able to do before anywhere else. If you go, talk to Jordan, he is my favorite and always treats me like gold. Anytime I have a question about products or how long or often I should come in he is always so helpful. He will stop whatever he is doing and talk to me and explain anything and everything about the beds and the products they carry. Why go anywhere else.....serious!

Lawsuit in the future?. This tanning salon has the biggest scammers in history! Not only are the sales people pushy, they shoot themselves in the foot when they sell you a package. When a customer buys a package, they DO NOT have them sign a purchase and sales agreement at the point of sale. Customer receipts DO NOT mention that sales are final. There are no wavers whatsoever! If any of you have unsolved disputes with the salon, you can file a lawsuit against them if the owner/manager does not settle things amicably. I contacted the corporate office on a personal dispute. In the interim, stay away from them and go to other salons that actually returns your calls before it goes down the ugly path.

Spray Scam. I have been going to this Desert Sun and the one in Wallingford (even worse than this one) for 2 yeas now (since moving to greenlake) and have had many bad experiences in this place, from running out of spray solutions, dirty beds, no lotions/wipes in the rooms an quite simply the doors locked (someone was late for work at 11am..(Wallingford))

I came off a long work trip and had 2 hours of downtime before a big birthday party I could not get out of. so, the thought of a quick spray tan sounded like the solution to bring me back from the "un-dead" look.

"LAST NAME!" was my friendly greeting that I was used to upon arrival. I looked up and told the "Becky or Kimmy" my last mane. After she slammed down her Blackberry in protest she demanded "What do you want"? I said "Versa Spa level 3 bronze please".

She looked down.

"something is not working" (i thought...you are right) "the T9 is making a weird noise". Turns out T9 is some computer system they use to activate the beds. I said "do you think you can fix it?" "No, but the owner is a few minutes away...It won't take long".

So I waited. 45 mins later, I get in to the spray machine.

I got sprayed with air. Nothing else. I was way too defeated to tell them. However, I did think I would be offered a credit for having to wait so long....alas, no such luck.

Ok, so this is a low end industry...we all know that. Read the review I posted on the Desert Sun Wallingford listing to really know how bad things can get from simply ......selling electricity.

Was lied to about a package and they wanted more money.. I've been a customer for over two years and everything was fine until recently. The corporation now has franchises and they back stab each other and the customer like evil step siblings. I (thought) I bought a package at the newly franchised Wedgwood branch and was later told when I went to use it at U-dist that it wasn't honored there. So I go back to Wedgwood to use it and am informed the salesgirl made a mistake and I was undercharged (not my mistake). So my option is to take less tans than I paid for OR PAY MORE FOR WHAT I WAS PROMISED. Typically, if an employee makes a mistake it's not the customer who is punished/ripped off. I ask for a refund and all told the corporation does not offer refunds, but wait, THE EMPLOYEE MISREPRESENTED THE PACKAGE TO ME AND TOOK MY MONEY. I go to the u-dist location to when I'm given some initial sympathy and apologies for what the evil stepsister salon in Wedgwood did, then they try to sell me another package for MORE MONEY! I cannot believe this company and it's sales staff! Lesson learned: get a copy of all sales agreements and print out or written agreement of number of tans and keep track (or they will delete them from your account). Better yet, DONT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING!!!

Pushy sales girls won't take no for an answer. I have been tanning at Desert Sun on Queen Anne for almost three years now but an experience last week ensured that I will never be back. The sales girls are always pushy but I have always managed to not let it bother me and to only buy packages when I needed them...not to mention the fact that sometimes the "free" tans they threw in sometimes mysteriously disappeared between visits but that's another topic altogether. Last week I was down to two tans and the sales girl was pushy in trying to get me to buy another package but pleasant enough to not be totally annoying. I politely declined and sat down to wait for a bed to open up. A different girl came up to me and asked if I needed lotions, bronzers, etc and I again said no. She asked what i was going to do when my tans were gone, I said I didn't want to buy anymore. Then she went on to ask if I was planning on taking my business to another salon and that's why I wouldn't buy a package. I again told her no, that was not my plan. She then asked me point blank, "Can you just not AFFORD it or something???" I was so appalled that she would ask that. I told her she needed to stop and ignored her. So rude. You just don't ask people questions like that, isn't it common courtesy??? I won't be back again.

Worst experience. No one expects excellent customer service from a tanning salon, but what I experienced at Desert Sun in Queen Anne made me angry enough to write a review. Watch out for their "great deals" and "one day specials" that the girls will try to sell you on it. Apparently "Tiffany" is notorious for selling customers on the "deferred payment plan" which after my own terrible personal experience of being charged the full price, over-drafting as a result I came to find out that it doesn't exist. After trying to reach their owner, through 5 attempted phone calls, 3 store visits and one letter I finally received an email back from him... after 5 weeks of absolute stress over a tanning package! He responded apologizing for my "misunderstanding of the store policy", which states that they don't offer any deferred payment plans and hopes to see me back to tan, but there was nothing he could do. The very least he could have done is throw in free tans to attempt to keep a once loyal customer (not to mention the many friends). Each employee I encountered about this problem was ignorant of their own store policy and was entirely disrespectful. including their owner, Mage. Avoid Desert Sun at all cost, I've switched to Planet Beach and have had a much better experience.
