lousy goods, and even lousier service. I wish I could give less than 1 star, or even a negative star. They sold my elderly folks a non-working gas range. They wouldn't even deliver or come to set it up. My folks had to hire someone to fetch it and set it up, only to find out it doesn't work. Also when we opened it to see if we could see the problem, it was filthy. They won't return calls and they have said that if we want to have them look at it (it has a 90 day warranty) we have to bring it back to their shop. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible experience. Look at Yelp for the real reviews of this place. I had a terrible experience. I guess if you are lucky enough to get a working appliance, which seems unlikely with this bunch, you may get away okay. They sold me a defective refrigerator, replaced it with another defective one, and have been almost completely unresponsive about it. They never return calls, and have missed a lot of appointments. I've now gone over 3 weeks without a working refrigerator, and still cannot get a reply from anyone. So, if you ever need any service from them, you will be dissappointed.
Always worked out for me.. This place has helped me out many many times when it comes to replacing appliances in my rentals. I can usually get my appliances delivered within a day or two and they cost me about half of what you can find elsewhere. As long as these guys continue the awsome service they have provided me I will continue with my purchases for all of our rentals. Happy New Year.
These guys are crooks.. I am convinced that all of the good reviews are fakes. Here's my story: City Discount Appliance sold my realtor a refrigerator that we discovered was defective. We lost two refrigerators full of food before CDA gave us a "loaner" - a run-down, used heap of a fridge that was just functional. Ken told us he would order a brand new fridge direct from the manufacturer and we could just pay him the difference between what our realtor paid for the defective fridge, and the retail price of the new fridge. The new fridge would take two weeks to arrive. Sounded good to us, so we gave him our credit card and ordered the new fridge. Well, weeks turned into months and there was no sign of the refrigerator. Ken would never call us to give us an update, despite telling us he would do so. We always had to track him down, then he would give us the run around; first there was a manufacturing delay, then it was sitting in the Seattle shipyard, then it was on a train in Iowa, etc. After over 3 months of this, I went to CDA and spoke to Ken directly. I was upset, but I was definitely not rude, and told him that we just wanted our refrigerator and had waited long enough for it. I said that we didn't trust that CDA had ever even ordered the fridge, and we felt duped. Ken was very rude, insulting actually (as in, he actually insulted me - called me stupid and arrogant, and said I have no sense of humor). I told him that as far as we are concerned, he had stolen our money ... and then his tune changed. All of a sudden, our fridge would arrive the next day. Mike the delivery guy brought the fridge into our kitchen and removed the loaner. He said that the fridge, was brand new, right out of the box, and that they don't normally do this for people. I noticed a dent on the door; he said quickly that I should talk to Ken about getting a new door, as it was right out of the box and he didn't know how that happened. Quickly, he and his assistant left. He did not give me any manuals or warranty information. Immediately, I began looking at the fridge. There were scratches and dings all over the outside. Ice cubes sat melting in the freezer, along with a dead bug. There was food stuck to the inside of the refrigerator compartment. The serial number had been removed, but the bit of the label that was left said that it had been built over a year prior. I took over 100 pictures of just how NOT brand new, out of the box this refrigerator actually was. Even though it was the same model we ordered, there was no way this thing was new. Basically, it took a call to the WA State Attorney General's Office and the threat of legal action to get City Discount Appliance to refund us our money and remove the offending fridge. The owner was compliant, but only after it was clear that we had caught his employees committing a major act of fraud. And even so, there is the issue of our realtor's money ... they kept it. We only received back what we paid for the "new" fridge, and neither we nor our realtor were refunded for the original defective refrigerator. So CDA made several hundred dollars out of this scheme, without having to sell anything to anyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE research this company before you think about buying from them. Look at the Better Business Bureau's website - they have an F rating. Over 16 official complaints in the last 3 years, and City Discount Appliance only even responded to about half. Isn't it interesting that all the reviews you see are either positively glowing or utterly abysmal? This was hands-down the absolute worst experience we have ever had, and we are just glad we got back what we paid. Please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
good stuff, great prices, highly recommended. Great Experience.....!!! I had a few hiccups as expected with construction and partly because of my not ordering the right things. Rob with my install issues AND Ken with my appliances.......WERE GREAT. I had ordered the wrong stove because I did not realize that I needed one without the backboard and I was able to re-order NO PROBLEM. They called me when my stuff was in and they were very attentive to my needs. I would not hesitate to go back to City Discount Appliance. They were great!!!

Stay away, these guys are COMPLETE SCUMBAGS. The manager of a place we rent bought a refrigerator from them that was DOA. It took them the better part of a week to get somebody out there to fix it, during which we were left with no refrigeration. He botched the job and ruined the fridge for good. It took them the better part of another week to get a replacement to us.
After about a week, the filtered water and ice maker on the replacement went out too. Again took them forever to get out to look at it, at which point they claimed it was a result of the filter getting clogged with rust from the house and therefore not their fault. I don't know if they charged the owner for the filter, but they had to order it, and it took weeks to arrive. When it did, they didn't send it to us, so we had to run up there to get it ourselves. When we installed it, it didn't fix the problem, so they came out again, once more taking at least a week to get us in, and eventually found that the water line was blocked with plumbing tape from when they had installed it in the first place. After clearing the line, however, the icemaker still doesn't work, and once again, they can't be bothered to get out to fix it for a week or so.
Separately, the replacement fridge was missing a bunch of shelves and drawers. First they denied that they were missing, and that this model was just "that way" eventually they came up with a few shelves and drawers, but there is still at least one missing, but they insist that we have all of them and have flatly refused to provide any more.
Throughout all of this they have been rude and dismissive at every turn, acting like it is somehow our fault that they gave us a lemon and are taking their own sweet time about getting it fixed, to the extent they will commit to fixing it at all. Rob the "service manager" is particularly vile. I'm just glad it's not my money they took. STAY CLEAR OF THESE JERKS AT ALL COSTS.

So I needed a part for my refrigerator because it caught on fire. I called around.
The guy who answered was very polite and friendly. And though he didn't have what I was looking for this time...he gave the 3 suppliers that he uses and gave me their telephone number!
Kindness is far and few between these days.
great deal on appliances. honest company to do business with. I needed a large capacity freezer on short notice and my appliance repair guy recommended City Discount Appliance for used appliances. I called City Discount Appliance and they had an like new freezer, which I asked them to plug in so I could check the temperature the next day when I went in to see it. They actually called me the next day to tell me the temp before I even got to the store (-20 degrees F). I went down, looked at it, and was treated courteously by the staff there. I paid for it and it was delivered the next day. The delivery man knew what he was doing, respected my property, and hauled off the old freezer that did not work. For under $200 I got a 21 cubic foot freezer, delivered, AND a 6 month warranty. I actually got it sooner than if I had bought from Lowe's! I have had the freezer now for 10 months and it has worked great -. I highly recommend City Discount Appliance and would buy from them again. I was leery of buying a used appliance, but this was a positive experience. THANK YOU!
Great prices but worst customer service. Sure the prices are great but we never experienced such bad customer service in our lives! They sold our "reserved" washer & dryer set then tried to sell us a completely different make & model. Numerous phone calls made with little results. Said they'd call or deliver by such & such date/time on several occasions (we bought several items) but wouldn't hear back from them. Had to personally drop in several times to get any action. Got the run around constantly. Finally got all items purchased but now 3 of the 4 items already have something wrong with them. I would NEVER purchase from this place or recommend them to anyone!
great service, at great prices "very impressed". This place has the best prices and realy stand behind there products. We bought a dishwasher that was half the price of new. About 1 month after the warranty expired the dishwasher starting making loud noice. Even though the warranty was expired these guys came out free of charge. Come to find out the only thing wrong with it is there was a broken piece of glass in the bottom of it. They pulled it out and its working like it was the day I bought it. Thanks...good to know small companies like this still exist.
