I stumbled on John Doe's nasty review and felt compelled to write a review of my own. We live in the Pacific Northwest and have Canyon Creek cherry cabinets throughout our home. I have NEVER had any of the problems John Doe describes! We put their cabinets in our Kitchen in 2006, and two bathrooms in 2008, and an entertainment center was installed in 2002. The cabinets in the master bath/spa have been exposed to lots of moisture since they were installed, and there has never been any damage or warping due to moisture! All the cabinets still look fantastic and we have had many compliments on them. I do a lot of cooking and entertaining, and would definitely RECOMMEND Canyon Creek to anyone who asks me!!

Please do not use this company - save your money - followup. I wanted to provide a follow up to the comment posted. We were never told not to store wood cabinets in unheated or uncontrolled humidity. If we had, I would have specifically asked them what specific heat range, and humidity range the cabinets tolerate to see if they would be suitable for the Pacific Northwest climate. Clearly from their comments that their cabinets have to be kept in a climate-controlled facility clearly shows that their cabinets cannot tolerate swings in weather climate through the seasons, especially in the Pacific Northwest, where we go from the low temperatures & high humidities of the winter months to the hot temperatures & lower humidities of the summer months, which would cause the cabinet doors to cyclically swell and bow with the seasons. We did store it in a concrete garage, but it was not an underground garage. It is a ground level garage that has its air exchanged with the ambient. So are they telling us that after installing their cabinets, that we should never open the windows to let fresh air in (including the humidity that comes with it?) After installation in the house (not the garage), the rep came to see them 2 months later, stating they needed to be out for a couple of months to dehumidify, since they had absorbed quite a bit of humidity, after which they'd go back to normal. We informed him that they were out already for 2 months, at 70F, but still the cabinet doors were swelled and bowed. Even by summers' end, despite the lower humidity of summer, the cabinet doors still were swelled and bowed. I'm sure by now you'd be just as frustrated as we were/are. Also, their comment of offering to split the cost for new doors is meaningless, since their new doors would warp just as fast as the old ones, which wouldn't help anyone or solve the problem. In addition, why should we have to pay for a poor product that does not function in the yearly weather conditions for the area they're sold for? Supposedly these have lifetime warranties, and they've clearly failed only several months into their installation. Again, their logic makes no sense, so please either save your money or shop elsewhere.

I LOVE MY NEW CABINETS!!. My husband and I decided to remodel our 33 year old kitchen and after an extensive search for a contractor he led us to Canyon Creek Cabinet Company. It was a delight to work with the people in the showroom. It was a delight to work with the salesman and it is a delight to have the beautiful cabinets in our home. The workmanship of the cabinets is outstanding. The color of the finish is perfect throughout. I was worried at first of our choice of alder, but I shouldn't have wasted the energy. The cabinets look like fine furniture. They are used everyday and show not one mark of use. I am in love with the silent close on the drawers and doors. I would recommend this company to anyone of my family or friends!

We bought Canyon Creek cabinets for our home in Oregon and put them in the kitchen, two bathrooms, bedroom and laundry room. They've been in our home for over three years and are still as beautiful as the day they were installed! The quality of the cabinets and the finish are just like fine furniture and we're very happy with them. It was important to us to buy cabinets made in the U.S. because we wanted to be sure that there weren't any harmful chemicals and it was an extra bonus that they were made in the Pacific Northwest. Canyon Creek did a great job by us and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good quality.

Please do not use this company - save your money. Shortly after purchasing our cabinets, we found the doors of our cabinets warping. We called them to replace them, since it was quite evident that their doors were defective. They refused to fully pay for replacing the doors, claiming that it was humidity that warped the doors, and that they didn't want to fully take responsibility for it. We were rather surprised they didn't want to take full responsibility for selling us cabinets made of wood that absorbed humidity and warped. Like the previous reviewer, we went back and forth with this company for several months but to no avail, so this too is not a heated "in the moment" review. I only wish I had seen the previous review before deciding on spending so much money on these cabinets. It is now quite clear to us, and I hope to the reader, that this company is out to make a sale at the expense of the consumer. Please, either save your money or shop elsewhere.
