Fantastic neighborhood boutique with darling clothes and I was kind of shocked at the low prices. They have my FAVE denim brand, Vigoss Jeans for around $50, lots of cute dresses and sweaters for around $30 to $40, and a small but decent selection of boots! I was so impressed with the friendliness of the two employees: they helped me but also let me browse without hovering. So in short: friendly customer service SUUUUPER cute clothes, boots & jeans, AND: they even have a little (like tiny) jewelry store through this "secret" door. Really worth the trip, lots of easy parking too.

Helpful staff. I wanted to buy in a pair of shoes for my girlfriend and the sales girl helped me from there.

My girlfriend was so happy she loved them.

Thank you.

Best Boutique in Ballard. The vibe in this shop is simply, downright welcoming. The light colors, spacious layout, fresh & cute clothing and funky-fresh boots & shoes make it such an enjoyable place to shop. The staff is friendly--almost TOO friendly as the two girls that were working when I was there "just looking" practically bent over backwards to help me. They were totally sweet when I said "just looking" and gave me space to browse...which I did!!! I was blown away by how affordable everything was and the clothes especially were easy to wear, low-price (think Macy's on sale), and GORGEOUS Italian Boots. I ended up with two pairs of Hot Kiss jeans that were marked down to $30, a pair of tights ($14) , a rock-n-roll type tee shirt ($12 bucks) and a darling pair of Steve Madden hi-heels (not on sale, but soooooo worth the $78 price tag)...so all for $165 bucks!!! Great selection, great style, amazing "over-the-top" friendly staff, free parking in front, sort of hard to find though because it is slightly off the main Market Street shopping drag. It's near a giant lumber yard, and quilt store.

Awesome Ballard boutique!. I am new to Seattle and specifically new to Ballard. As any girl would do, I naturally explored the boutiques in my neighborhood and wandered into Kick It. The owner was the one working and was really great. She gave me great jean advice & helpful info on the sale shoes. She also informed me the shoes I wanted were going on sale for Labor Day. She gave me the sale price early!

I am so excited to have a friendly boutique in my neighborhood and will definitely be a regular here!

My Girlfriend loved the boots I got her here. Well this was venturing into unfamiliar territory for me, but the friendly staff made it so easy for me. I am not a brave guy that will go and buy langerie, but this have given me a boost of confidence. I brought in a pair of her favorite shoes and the sales girl helped me from there. They ended up fitting like a glove and she loved them. Thanks so much Kick it!

Poorly Manufactured Merchandise; Unfavorable Return Policy. Purchased a dress at Kick-it after explicitly asking the sales person whether or not the dress would shrink (especially in length) if washed and dried according to the manufacturer's instructions. The sales person stated that the dress would not shrink. I hadn't worn the dress, but washed and dried the it in preparation for an upcoming trip. The dress shrunk considerably in length. So much that I could not comfortably wear it. I called the store and told them what happened. The sales person told me to bring the dress in and I could return it. On the phone she stated that she could credit my credit card, but if I could find something to exchange it for, the store would prefer that. Later that day, I took the dress back. I wanted to return it for a refund, as I needed a dress for my trip, and they did not have another that I liked. The sales person said that she had talked to the owner and that the owner would only do a store credit. I find this unacceptable as I had specifically asked whether or not the dress would shrink and would not have purchased it if I had been told that it would (or even if the sales person had told me she didn't know). The way I see it is that sometimes sales people make mistakes. It is bound to happen, but these mistakes should be the store's liability, NOT the customer's.

As an added note the one other purchase that I had made at Kick-It was a pair of flip-flops with decorative stars on the straps. Luckily I found out from a friend who had the same pair that two of the stars had fallen off of her shoes after minimal use. I was able to return these shoes the day following my purchase (at the same time I tried to return the dress) before I had worn the shoes out of the house. This store seems to have poor quality merchandise, and such a horrible return policy that shopping there is not worth the risk of buying something that isn't going to live up to your expectations or may fall apart after a short time.
