Tips for The Everest Kitchen

So happy it's close to home!. This place was a real surprise. First because I thought the food was so good. Second, because the dining room was empty.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian, Tibetan, and Himalayan food. Everest Kitchen has an eclectic mix of these.

Plus, there are wonderful pictures of Everest for all the climbers out there1

Delicious. Fresh ingredients and delicious food. The lamb in the vindaloo was tender and the spices were just right. The Chicken Chilli was tasty. And for dessert, we had Mango ice cream and a mango lassi - they were yummy too!

The service was excellent and friendly - I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Favorite Indian food!!. First off, so many Indian restaurants taste the same dish to dish. Everest kitchen does not!! Best Lamb Tika Masala I have ever had! Excellent sevice, good prices and fantastic food. Don't let the appearance of the place fool you, not fancy ambiance just killer food. The Naan is especially good along with the garlic version. The lunch buffet is limited but good, dinner is a whole other story. Try some of the Nepal menu also.

Great food, amazing people. We have been eating at the Everest Kitchen for several years. The food is always fantastic. Wwe are vegetarian and love the Shahi Paneer but our meat eating friends also go crazy for the Chicken Tika Masala. The Pakoras are a great starter and our son loves the mango Lassis.

Everest is EVERYTHING! :D. After I wasn't able to visit the Himalayan Sherpa in the U District because it was closed :(, a friend reccomended the Everest Kitchen. Driving by, it looks fairly plain, but noticable because of the big spinning sign!

We got in, and even though it wasn't super lit in side, the brightly coloured walls and curtains were very fun and I was instantly greeted by the smell of their delicious buffet. I'm a vegetarian, as is my dining partner and we both had an excellent time chowing down on the veggie selections. (The Saag Paneer was DIVINE!!!) There were also a few types of Chicken curries for those so inclined. At one point in the meal, fresh Naan was made and brought out directly to the customers.... soooo tasty!!

The foods were delicious, yet not cookie cutter similar, the location was convenient (huge lot parking) and the customer service was cheerful. I'm deffinatly going back as often as possible!

Editorial Review. Comfy locale prepares Indian and Tibetian dishes without cholesterol-packed ingredients.

Worst Indian Food Ever. Please save yourself an extremely disappointing dining experience and go someplace else when you're in the mood for some decent Indian food. I just got home after picking up my takeout and to my horror, my "special" naan was so old it cracked when I broke a piece off of it. My guess is about 4 days old...The saag paneer was totally bland, and the chicken tikka masala was totally average to below average. Literally, I did not know that Indian food could be this bad. The tipoff should have been that no one was in the place, but I came to citysearch and it was "recommended." YIKES! They've been under new management since 5/94, so perhaps that's why the quality is so horrendous. SKIP THIS ONE NOW!!!!

Do not go here if you are hungry now.... We have lived across the street from this place for several years, so we finally decided to try it. It was a Friday evening, but there were only about 4 tables with customers, and one waitress. We waited for over an HOUR for our food! Now, the waitress was very nice; she kept our glasses filled and kept checking on us. But in a restaurant with 4 other customers that is too long to wait. Once we got our food it was very good, the chicken tikka masala was lovely. But if you go, make sure you can wait.

Homey and delicious. This is one of the few restaurants in the Shoreline area we frequent. The chutneys aren't so hot, but the nan is fabulous and tandouri selections moist and yummy. The owners are always on hand with a smile and excellent service.

Superb dining experience!. Quality dining, excellent food, specifically the tandori, and fast & friendly service. The food was great, they made me feel at home and the prices were just right. This is the kind of restaurant you would want to take your family/mate/friends to. The quality of the food must be experienced to be believed.
