Excellent Northern Italian cuisine. The seafood dishes are fresh and savory. The homemade pastas are creative and mouthwatering.Remarkable wine list with some excellent bottles priced very reasonably. Exemplary service and not rushed. Great value for the quality of food and service.
Great food but......

October 29th we had arranged for a party of 20 to stop and eat at Bistro Baffi before a 7:30 concert. The food was great but the following things occurred:
- We were never shown a menu
- After looking online at reasonable menu prices, all the choices that night (other than just pasta) were $30-$35 (we were told there would be a set menu but told nothing of the higher prices)
- Wine glasses were topped off when only half empty and charged as a full glass of wine
- We were asked if we wanted a salad with our meal (as if it were included) and then charged for it
- The 20% gratuity and a $2 credit card fee were lumped together on the bill (giving the appearance of a 21%-25% gratuity per bill)
- We were all made late to the concert because they were late in getting our food to us
- This was all pre-arranged; time of arrival, departure, number in party.
- Basically the food was great and the server was nice enough but we couldn’t enjoy the meal – we had to scarf down the food – no time for coffee, dessert – and rush out of there.
I might go again. A small party would be fine. I talked with one of the owners Dinka, (who is great, by the way,) and she assured me she was working with the server who was in way over her head. No one was happy at the end of the night.
Long time diners here!

Wow! I can't believe the review beneath mine. That's shocking!! I've had nothing but great experiences at Bistro Baffi with Michael and his staff. They are very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Whenever we go it's for a special occasion, bdays. My 12 year old granddaughter even chooses to go here for her bday! Were greeted like long time friends. We like the banquet room where it's very warm and cozy. Kat has taken care of us almost every visit. She even knows our preferred drinks appetizers and desserts. They have great wines by the bottles and cocktails are DELISH!! We all ordered off of the specials trays! Absolutely A-MA-ZINGGGG!! The filet melts in your mouth and all the seafood is so fresh! Some would say pricey, I say when it's that good price doesn't matter =D Michael and his staff sang happy birthday with a tiramisu! All in all just a wonderful time to spend with your loved ones!
Not the place for a large group

Had an all-round bad experience here in October: waited til now just because we were working with the owner to remedy the problem--to no avail. Group of 20, known to be arriving at 5:30 pm and NEEDED to be gone by 7 pm (symphony concert). 1. Never given a menu, only a HUGE list of options orally to the whole table by one waitress (hence no prices seen). 2. Main dish not served til 7 pm--most of the group shovels in the food or leaves most uneaten. 3. Wine was "topped off" when glasses were half full still (illegal) and another glass charged. 4. Quoted group grattuity of 20%--actual bills contained gratuities of 21-25%. 5. Online prices shown to be in $17-$27 range, while our group paid at least $30-$35 per entree. 6. When 7:20pm arrived and we were begging for our bills so we could get to the concert (one of the composers was in our group), at least half of the group arrived at the concert after it had begun. After multiple discussions with the owner (who had left the restaurant himself to attend his son's football game), the only remedy offered was a bottle of wine if we "stopped by".
