What a great spot., I wish it were my neighborhood bistro. The server was helpful and insightful, the atmosphere fun and well thought out, but the food was the big winner. The sweet potato fries are a must with the aioli, great crostini, salads were lovely and the cocktails were deeeelish! Overall, tried 4 tapas and had a half salad and it was a great meal. Look forward to going with more people so we can taste even more menu items. Go, you will love it.
Pros: Happy Hour is a great deal

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday at Tidbit and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We were able to make a weeknight reservation just a few hours in advance and requested the table by the window which feels cozy and private and allows for great Capitol Hill people watching. We started off with the sweet potato fries and mustard aioli (amazing!) and the gnocchi alla sorrentina (also amazing!). The Caesar salad was just ho-hum but the Caprese was to die for with tidbit's own unique twist. I then had the tidbit baccala which I was frankly disappointed in - it was a little too greasy for my taste and I wasn't expecting the fish to be breaded and fried. My boyfriend, however, had the bistecca ed insalada which was delicious and so fresh tasting. We topped everything off with white profiteroles (which are worth coming back for all by themselves!). Although the food was for the most part delish, the service was what will bring us back again and again. It was a bit slow but we were in no hurry and enjoyed the slower pace and opportunity to linger over each dish. The Italian co-owner was so friendly and solicitous, refilling water glasses before they were empty and apologizing for the kitchen backup before we even really noticed things were moving slow. He even chased us out to the parking lot behind the building when we forgot our doggie bags! Overall a great experience - we will be back!
Pros: yummy tapas, free parking, amazing service, convenient location
Cons: a little pricey
