My friends who pay hundreds are jealous!
by DWoz
I like to look good too! But spending hundreds...no thanks! In this case, you don't "get what you pay for", you get way more than you pay for. Lissy listened to my wants, took a good look at my hair, asked questions, sent me to get shampooed, which was unbelievable. Who gets a scalp message for this price! Then she went to work! She showed me how to get the volume I wanted and sent me off to do my own styling, which is really great. (she offered to blowdry it out for me, but I wanted to style it myself) My hair looks better than ever. Go ahead and spend hundreds....it will be easier to get my next appointment! LOL
- Pros: value, talented stylists
- Cons: none
Mediocre experience at Ten Pachi
by fdawn1
I also read very flattering reviews about the newly opened store and decided to give it a try. I've had long hair for awhile so I wanted some style and change to my hair. Dot, the owner was my hairstylist for the day. I booked the appointment three weeks prior, hoping that I would get some styling advice from Dot, the expert herself. I told her that I wanted this stylish long and straight hair look. However, she just created a greater contrast of length in my hair and that was it. Their motto is to create a look/style in twenty minutes, but I think it hindered the quality of my haircut. I wasn't incredibly impressed, and later she advised me to the self style section to fix my hair on my own. I have no regrets, but I guess I expected more.
Great Cuts and Great Prices
by LieutenantHousecat
Lissy and Stella are my favorites. Both have given me really great cuts and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Stella did my texture perm which if you're wanting wavy hair, I would highly recommend this service with her. Lissy has given me one of the best cuts I've ever had. I told her what I was trying to achieve with my hair and she totally got it. One time I saw Uki for a last minute cut and I wasn't impressed. I explained to her what I wanted but she missed the mark and took it too short. However, I'd like to point out that even though she didn't do what I wanted, I still got a pretty good cut from her. DO NOT go here on a Saturday. Every time I have a Saturday appt. I always wait and extra half hour. I'm not sure if this is because the stylists are going over the appt. times or if clients are showing up late.
