authentic food at a great price

I thought I died and went to heaven when I tried their carne asada torta. It is so good, just like my uncle used to make, add a splash of their green salsa and you're good to go. I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded, they offer the best mexican food on the ave, hands down.
- Pros: They have WiFi!!!!
Incredibly refreshing

Delicious. Plain and simple. Thank you Memo's, you've answered our prayers.
A couple of us were talking about starting a place like this on the Ave or in Pioneer Square. We're very happy to see that somebody else went through with it.
There used to be a taco shop on Eastlake, Burrito Express, which had the only decent burritos & enchiladas I have found through 4 years in Seattle (excluding fine dining restaurants like Rosita's in Greenlake). Burrito Express has been gone for about six months now... but now our prayers have been answered.
The food is incredible. The prices are unbelievable. The service is warm and friendly. And 24 hours?!? I think I'll be in the U district a lot more often... I think I'll head back right now!
Authentic Socal Taco Shop

First things first : To "Go back to cali" or whatever your name is, I don't see why your review has not been deleted. It is worthless, biased, prejudiced and ugly. You should be ashamed, and I feel sorry for you. On a good note, Memo's is what people say it is - Authentic Socal Taco Shop food. To those who compare it negatively to fast food, you are somewhat right. It is fast food. It's pretty much the stuff you got at the Roberto's or Alberto's or Adalberto's drive-thru's if you ever lived in San Diego, and god how I've missed this stuff. I grew up in Chula Vista, and Lolita's on L st. is still the best Mexican food I've had, though they can't match my late Nana's carne asada, pozole, or frijoles. But when I needed a quick drive-thru fix, I'd slide through the Alberto's or Roberto's, and this is basically the exact same stuff. Lardy bean burritos filled with yellow cheese, Carne asada fries smothered in sour cream, thin but flavorful and exquisite hot sauce that you just want to drink out of a glass with ice while you eat your taquitos....Man, if you know Socal Mexican Food, you know exactly what I'm talking about. This stuff is in no way as good as the original, but if you're way the hell up here in the Pacific Northwest and the Taco Trucks just aren't quite hitting the spot in the right way, do yourself a favor and try this place. Trust me, San Diegans, you'll feel at least a little bit at home the second you look at the huge and recognizable menu.
- Pros: Quick Service, Lardy
