Tips for Village Sushi

Hands down, best sushi ever!. I am super picky about sushi, and this is my favorite sushi restaurant, of all I've ever tried. The staff are always happy to make suggestions. The sushi amazing, like uh-MAZing, and is always very fresh. Try the hanabi roll. I have been trying to get my mom to eat sushi for years, and she always insisted that she hated it, but Village Sushi changed her mind.

Their other entrees are really good too, though. They have reeeeally yummy udon soups, and their teriyaki is fantastic.

I love that it's a small, cozy place, too. You may have to wait a little bit for a table, but it's SO worth it. Plus, they have a patio. Don't go to some cockroach-infested place on the Ave for mediocre sushi! Walk two blocks and have the yummiest sushi you'll ever eat! Seriously.

Amazing environment. My boyfriend and I are on a little mission to visit and explore many sushi restaurants in Seattle. This one by far has been the best. We prefer a smaller restaurant to the more busy bustling 'corporate' ones, and if you are the same this is the place for you. Maximum 10 tables, getting there before the dinner rush is suggested. Extremely competent and engaging staff, they provide recommendations which were much appreciated. The environment was nice, clean, and homey. The 'Fire on Da Mountain' roll was excellent, so much so we ordered a second roll despite being full! This is a highly suggested restaurant. Go check it out!

Good Sushi. cute place behind Walgreens near UW campus. it beats going to the AVE for sushi. i go here on date nights all the time. the sushi/sashimi is sooo good. they even offer $2 amstel light, but go for the Sapporo. very friendly staff. they only have one sushi chef so at dinner time when it gets semi-crowded you might have to wait awhile for your food. just order a heaping amount all at once and not at 2 different times because its that good.

i love this place. i'm going there for lunch in 20 mins. its an addiction.

oh and one last thing, order the sushi regular or deluxe. it comes with 8 different sashimi on rice with two rolls, prob. seattle roll and california for only $12-18. awesome price!

Cute little sushi bar. We've gone to this spot a number of times and have always been impressed. The service is on point, the sushi is tasty and they've yet to leave us unhappy with the quality of preparation. Try the root vegetables, they're amazing; we get them every time we're in. In short, this is a worthwhile spot to stop into.

Sushi lovers head north of downtown Seattle to experience this tasty find.. In Short
This welcoming restaurant just off the Ave wows the U-District crowd and sushi fanatics with fresh sashimi and signature sushi rolls. Owned by executive chefs Joe and Sunny Cho, the cozy venue entices diners with art on the walls, jazz album covers displayed in the case and music playing in the background. Must-try offerings include tuna poke, spicy salmon roll, chirashi, and mochi ice cream for dessert.

Hits: Check the board for daily specials featuring seasonal seafood and produce.

Misses: The small space creates acoustics that may make hearing dining companions difficult for some guests.
