Great Thai. This is a great restaurant - I have tried several in the chain, and they are all great. I love the phad thai and the black sticky rice.

Awesome Thai. Oh this restaurant is worth every penny.. Come on.. take a look how crowded it is every lunch time.. and you got the guts to say this place isn't good.. you got to be kidding me..

this place has good, cheap and decent thai lunch.. great proportions.. and many variety... you got to try it..

always try to go in a small group because the place isn't big enough for groups more than 4 people...

Worst Thai food Ever. I was walking around on pike street and decided to try this new joint which is name-sake of my favorite joint at columbia st.

First of all this has got nothing to do with the "Original Mae phim". I spoke to the staff at columbia street and they said they had nothing to do with this one.

Secondly who bestowed them those award and did they ever taste the food? I ordered a basic Phad thai dish. It had absolutely no flavor in it. Apart from that it was burnt. Since I was in a hurry, i swallowed and paid $7.50 for that piece of C*** which didnt even have peanuts. The serving plates was chipped majorly at 2-3 points. Quantity was so-so but why do I care if its BURNT

I will never be going therefor sure, but I would advice you as well to take those extra steps and visit the original eatery and save some money as well !!

Disappointing compared to the original. I just ordered to-go from Mae Phim's Lunch Rush location on 3rd and Pike. This place has only it's name in common with it's sister location on Columbia and First - none of the great taste or quality. The Lunch Rush tag in the name is a big misnomer. I waited for about 10 mins to get my to-go order. I don't know what the deal is, but they are not firing on all cylinders.

I ordered Pad Kee Mao with tofu and extra vegetables. What I got was one broccoli floret on a bed of soggy Pad Thai noodles. I'm glad I looked into the box before I left to make sure they got it right. I took it back to one of the workers and said they got my order wrong. They apologized and sent it back to the burner. 5 mins later it came back to me with a few more veggies (mostly onions) and it was all floating in a pool of stir-fry juices. At this point I gave up since I was in a hurry to get back to the office.

So I gave it a try and for $7.30 this was some of the worst Thai food I've had. The portion was ridiculously small, especially since I asked for extra veggies. I got about 3 pieces of tofu. I had also asked them to make it spicy - 4 stars. It wasn't even close to 1 star. Sadly, the fast food Thai place at Westlake center is leagues better.

I was excited to see this location spring up closer to my office since the original is one of my favorite lunch spots for Thai in the downtown area. I don't write this review to be mean, but I am hoping that it will help the new Mae Phim location focus on the quality of food and service that makes the original so good. I will give it another try, but will wait about a month and hopefully will see some improvements.
