Can't Do Better!. Kim has been cutting my hair for the last 9 years and my cuts are always impeccable. I have lived on the east side of the state for the past 4 years but still make trips over to Seattle to get my hair cut. I love sitting down and telling Kim to do whatever she wants, knowing it will look great! I have also been seeing LoAnn occasionally for the last couple of years and her cuts are every bit as amazing! LoAnn and Kim are like family to me, after having known them for years and I plan to keep coming to Salon Divine, no matter where I am living! --Also, the cuts last much longer than any other cuts I have ever received! The cuts will last 6 months, but I love getting my hair cut there so much, I can't hardly wait that long to get it cut again!

Best Salon in Town. Today I rec'd another expert haircut by Tiffany today, and I am STILL GETTING COMPLIMENTS for the excellent color that Loanne did for me. Best I ever had! By the way, I just read a negative recent review for this wonderful salon. That customer must be in la-la land because I have been coming to this salon since it's beginning and have received only the highest quality of style, cut and color of any salon, and I was a former customer of Gene Juarez. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Anna & Kim - the DREAM TEAM for my hair!!!! WOW!!!!. ***A N N A: I began coloring my hair about 4 years ago when I started seeing gray here & there. Because I was new to it, I didn't know a good colorist from a bad or mediocre one. I saw a gal for a year or so and was always puzzled why my color looked so much more obvious to me than other people's. I figured it was just that thing where you always see your own flaws more than other people's... -------------------------------

Then a friend referred me to Salon Divine - to see Kim Henry for a curly-hair haircut (she's AMAZING, I'll review her next). She had Anna do my color since Anna's the master colorist at the salon. The first time I saw her in action, I knew I'd been playing with an amature before! Her consult was in-depth, knowledgable, and taught me a few things about my own hair. Color on curly hair can be tricky, apparently. Then, when she applied the color, she took very thin sections and used about 2-3 times the foil the other gal had used... the color came out natural looking, with really well blended high & low lights, and the color was the perfect compliment to my skin tone. -----------------------------------

OK that's the technical stuff... I will never go to another colorist as long as I can see Anna Marie. BUT, nearly as great as the actual coloring was my experience getting to know Anna. She's wise, funny, intuitive... Frankly sometimes I am not in a mood to be chatty in the salon and just want to sit and let someone work on me. When I feel that way, she picks up on it, and just goes on about her work - checking in to see if I need more tea or a magazine. But when I'm chatty, we have the BEST conversations. As a co-owner of the salon, and a long-time stylist, she's a wealth of fun topics about running a small business. She also has a lot of life experience and insight that I find very cool and inspiring. --------------------------------------------

***K I M: Ok, I have really LONG CURLY HAIR – ringlets actually – and I can’t emphasize enough how difficult it’s been thru the years to find stylists who understood and knew how to work with it. Curly hair is tricky because you usually have sections that are really curly & sections that are not. You can also have sections that are wiry and others that are fine & straight. I have all of these challenges – making a bad haircut a real nightmare. When mine is poorly cut, the usual result is a two-tiered psycho mullet!!! The top curly section contracts as it dries, leaving the long straight hair underneath sticking out – Joe Dirt style. ---------------------------------- My last stylist usually gave me cuts that looked good initially but by the 2nd or 3rd week I was cutting and trimming it here & there at home to try and limp thru the 2-3 months till my next cut. ---------------------------------- I’m not kidding when I say Kim’s cuts are ****FLAWLESS!!!**** I never touch them myself. Plus, her cuts LAST 6 MONTHS ON AVERAGE!!!!! And then sometimes I need only split ends trimmed off. I don’t know how she does it. It’s something I’ve never experienced in my 42 years of having haircuts. Kim is a WIZARD with curly hair!!! It might have something to do with the fact that she, too, has long, curly hair – and to her its personal! ----------------------- Technically she’s a wiz, but personally she’s even better! I love talking with Kim, and look forward to getting her thoughts on little things going on in my life at the time. She’s a deep soul with a positive outlook and zest for life. Also, as a small biz owner, she’s great to brainstorm with. She’s inspiring, uplifting, and a person of high-integrity. It’s the best of both worlds – hair & spirit, all wrapped up in one Divine package!!! ----------------------------------------

I walk out of the salon feeling great, looking great, and glad I dared to "cheat" on my prior stylist by visiting Salon Divine. I will never look back!!!!!!

Highly Disappointed With Color/Service by Loanne. So after reading online reviews of Salon Divine I was excited to schedule a partial foil/color since my former stylist had moved out of state. I first scheduled a haircut with Kim, but when I arrived it was Tiffany who did the cut. I was a little confused as to why they wouldnt have informed me that Kim was not available, although I saw her working on another client. Anyways, I was pleased with my cut since I have naturally curly hair it can be a traumatic experience if the stylist does not know how to handle my hair texture. I was so thrilled that I went ahead and scheduled a color appt on my bday as a way to treat myself. Loanne is who I was scheduled with and I felt like she didnt listen to anything I was asking. She took it upon herself to color my hair extremely darker than what it was b/c she felt that it complimented me better (but once again, this is not what I had requested of her). Not only that, but during the process of applying the overall color she somehow splashed a huge glob on my leather Kenneth Cole boots that I adored and made matters worse when she tried to take the stain out using a Tide pen that only caused a bleached stain on the top of my shoe. She left the color on my head too long b/c she kept disappearing somewhere in the back and was trying to find a comparable pair of boots to the pair she ruined online. I was in near tears at the end of my appt b/c my hair was horrid. I paid $150 for a color I did not ask for. Not only that, but when I got home I had color stained all along my cheeks that she didnt bother to clean up either. I will not return to have my color done here again and will continue my search to find a stylist that actually listens and knows what she's doing...

Anna, youv'e saved me again!. Once again you have come to my rescue, my hair turned out perfect (as usual). With all the running around and weather conditions I wasn't sure it would hold thru the night, but it did - I felt like the belle of the ball! Thanks again for always being there for me.
