Tukwila >simpleFLOORS of Seattle
We were (and continue to be) thrilled
with the flooring we purchased from Simple Floors. Charlie was very knowledgable and informative and helped us to make a good decision about which style and color of bamboo to buy. I can't remember if we made an appointment, but he was there and ready for us when we arrived and had so many samples to look at, it was like 31 Flavors. :-) He allowed us to bring home samples of our five or six finalists so we could see how it would look in the area.
The delivery service they offered was surprisingly inexpensive, easy to work with and EXACTLY on time.
The floors look beautiful and the price was right. We will eventually get hard woods in other areas of our house and will absolutely go back to Simple Floors.
I wanted to have my stairs done (there was 1 1/2" plywood with nosing down for about 3 years that I had been unable to complete at the time my stairs were installed)
Since I actually know a lot about floors I decided that I would have someone I knew do it on the side since stairs can be expensive. BIG MISTAKE!
I ended up purchasing the materials from Simple Floors (I chose the Strand Woven bamboo because it is rock hard and they sold it at an incredibly low price) and then had their installers rip out what I paid someone else to begin installing.
They finished the tear out and completion of the whole stairwell in a day (12 stairs) with a ton of custom work that looks really fantastic. I have open stairs on one side and they wrapped the flooring material around so that it exceeded my expectations and looks unique.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them top to bottom... material quality, pricing, timing, and workmanship.
Cork Floor Sale Without Any Product?.
We ordered cork flooring in February and were told it was on back order, and that our order would be no more than 8 weeks out. Each time we've called we've gotten a different story about when it would arrive. We've been told it shipped, then told it didn't ship yet and wouldn't ship for another two weeks. They've even told us there was a week-long holiday in China delaying things, but there was actually no holiday (we have friends in China) so we were basically lied to by the salesperson. Now we are being told it won't be until May or June - but really we can't trust what they are saying anymore. Meanwhile our entire project is on hold, and they haven't even offered to compensate us for our time spent waiting!!
They continue to have this product "on sale" every single week selling what they don't even have and apparently don't have the ability to produce. Aren't sales usually to get rid of overstock??
If they don't have their product in stock, do not order from this company!!!!! It feels like a scam. Either that or Simple Floors is being scammed by their Chinese warehouse. Either way, beware!!
Total Package: Prices, People, Selection. Finding the right hardwood flooring online is almost next to impossible because most websites will show you one thing, then the showroom and/or samples give you another. SimpleFloors was the only place in the area I found that actually backed up what you see online with what they have in the showroom. I'd recommend browsing the great webpage they have, then taking a trip to Tukwila after narrowing down your choices. When i found what i liked online, I went in and was impressed at how well they had things setup. I was immediately greated at the door, and directed towards the styles i mentioned caught my eye online. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about not only the types of floors, but also what would work best for my home. I was impressed at how patient they were with me when i couldn't decide between two styles, and then gave me all their advice on the pros and cons of each. Overall, great experience across the board. I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend their service.
Kudos! Seattle Simple Floors.
Starting my search for flooring was an adventure. I started with the usual local show rooms that are really for contractors, but, the general public can take a peek. I found generally - the prices were high and the quality varied a great deal. Next, it was on to the websites. I found Seattle Simple Floors when Googling for hardwood flooring products. The website was easy to navigate. The pricing was right up front. When I realized they actually had a show room in Tukwila, I knew that was my next stop.
I selected the collection Vintage Chappel and the color Maple Stave. This product is hand scrapped. I loved the look. I had to call Charlie (the owner) back with my measurement, give him my bank card number to place the order. The flooring was drop shipped directly to my home. Everything went smoothly from the order to the shippment. The driver even helped us pack the flooring into the house (bonus for us).
I thought the flooring looked a little on the thin side - BUT Our son, (who installs flooring as his profession) in San Diego, CA., said "It looks good Ma" and agreed to come up and lay the flooring for us. He chose to lay the flooring with Mastic "glue down" application. Wow it turned out nice. Originally, I was a little skeptical about the Mastic as there is an odor during installation. My fears turned to joy...no kidding...no squeeks, and the smell goes away once the flooring is down and the Mastic can is covered up.
We are pleased with our flooring and we think you will be too. Happy Flooring!

Better than expected.. So we were in the market to put down new hardwood flooring and finally get rid of our nasty carpet! Like most of us these days I started my shopping journey online. After seeing what the web had to offer by far the most impressive and easy to navigate was the simplefloors website. The prices were lower than everyone else and the selection was awesome. So the next Saturday the wife and I went to the showroom to see if we couldn?t find a new floor. When we got there we were both pleasantly surprised by the large displays and very clean atmosphere (There?s even a kids area to keep junior occupied). We were interested in hand scraped hardwood and these guys have a ton to choose from like Brazilian teak, acacia, maple, oak ect.... The staff there is incredibly educated on flooring trends, construction, installation and just plain helpful. The wife and I narrowed it down to 3 choices that our salesman put in the window so we could see the floor in natural light. At that point we took a couple of free samples and decided to shop around at the multiple other hardwood stores in the local area. That honestly turned out to be a waste of time. The other flooring stores did not have the selection, large displays, low prices, and overall professionalism that Simple Floors possess. We went back to their store and bought an incredible hand scraped acacia floor called Golden Topaz. They did not have the flooring we picked out in stock at the store. It would've been nice to take it right then but we had it at our house in about five days which really isn?t that bad. We had it delivered then installed by an installer that they recommended which also surprisingly went very well. The floor has been down for a month or so now and it looks amazing and the both of us needless to say a very pleased. Definitely shop around but we encourage you to start at Simple Floors.
Great products, prices, and sales people!. This store is so helpful! Not only do they have a ton of selection (I was looking for bamboo floors - it's not easy to find anything but the standard kind) but they are very informative about the pros and cons of each kind of floor. I ended up with some Cork Flooring too, for my kitchen - I didn't know much about it before going into the store, but it's been installed for two months now & I couldn't be happier. Very eco & nice on the feet. Also they have large samples so you can really get an idea of what the floor will look like. They had the best pricing I could find, and it only took a couple of weeks to get the bamboo I decided on for the rest of the house. V. satisfied with SimpleFloors; I have recommended it to many friends & coworkers!
