Needs work. Pike's Bar and Grill is the new restaurant in the space formerly occupied by 1200 Bistro. The new owners are trying hard but still have a way to go if they are going to succeed. We have eaten there twice in the past month. The first time, they were out of several items on the menu and the second time, the arrival of our food was delayed due to a party of 20 on the other side of the room. Both of these incidents make it clear that the kitchen still has not found its way. The food is pretty basic but well-executed for the most part. The decor is stark and not that inviting. This part of Capital Hill needs more restaurant options, but Pike's Bar & Grill may not survive the cut.
