Sandwiches so Juicy You'll Need a Bath When Done. The Midnight Cuban Express is by far my favorite of their sandwiches, even though the Cuban Roast is the most popular and very delicious. The juicy blend of Cuban roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese and their sauces make my mouth water and crave this every time I think about. The flavors burst in your mouth? and all over your hands and lap, so make sure you have plenty of napkins or are close to a sink to wash up. It?s well worth the mess and I know you will not be disappointed. If you take your sandwich to Golden Gardens, you can jump in the water after you?re done to help clean up.

The Most Craved Sandwich. I had heard of Paseo's. I had heard of how delicious the midnight cuban sandwich is. I know. But I still lived here for several years with letting the lines stop me from going.

Don't make the same mistake. Actually avoid the Fremont location and go to the Ballard one, shorter lines most of the time. It's this little pink shack next to Surf Ballard with no sign that it is Paseo's. In face, the only place that it says so is on the menu posted next to the order window.

The food: I have only had the Cuban Roast sandwich, and I have craved it every day since I bit into that juicy sandwich. The meat is marinated perfectly, and the whole sandwich has a delicious spiciness to it with jalapenos and other wonderful things. It's amazing, really. I cannot describe it, you just have to go and try it.

It's a little expensive for a walk up window sandwich in my book at $8.50, but totally and completely worth it. They are decently sized sandwiches too, more than I should eat in one sitting. I have heard wonderful things about everything on the menu.

The cash register guy was also very nice.

Tip: If you walk across the street, you'll see a sign that says public beach. Just keep walking towards the water, next to a condo building, and there's a little bitty sandy beach where you can eat your sandwich in peace instead of at the picnic table area next to the restaurant.

The BEST sandwiches ever!. Cruise down Shilshole towards Golden Gardens park and look for the pink shack on the right. This is Paseo, home of the most AMAZING sandwiches and other Cuban delights. Your Paseo sandwich can feature chicken, pork, scallops, prawns, tofu or the Cuban combo. The meats are marinated and the sandwiches are piled with thick cut marinated onions. If you like onions, these are the greatest things ever. If you DON'T like onions, be sure to order yours without because there are a LOT of them. The sandwiches are served on a crusty baguette with cilantro, romaine, pickled jalapenos and their special aioli. Soooo good! Check their website if you want to stop by in the winter, as they usually shut down for about a month or so in December/January. Sandwiches are around $7.50 (and are worth every penny), other entrees range from $8-12.

These Sandwiches should be Outlawed. Cuban midnight Press Sandwich I hate you. You are so tasty. You call to me when I least expect it; at work, on the open road, in my dreams, making love. You are so perfect in every way it makes me sad. If only I could be as perfect a person as you are a sandwich. Damn you Cuban Midnight Press Sandwich, damn you to hell.

Editorial Review by Whitney Ricketts. Seattle cult favorite Paseo has opened a Ballard outpost for its legendary Cuban sandwiches.
