Seattle New Hidden Secret.
After 2 days of non-stop fried fish, burgers, chips (aka fries) and all other things western and greasy we decided to put some culture in our bellies cue Navya Lounge. The place has a Indian/Thai fusion.
So for dinner I stuck to Indian, getting the malai kofta (spicy) and lamb curry which were both very good. We are both mad about mango sticky rice but had stuffed ourselves on the main course. Bartender name Timothy rocked and served us a good portion to go.
With respect to some of the earlier reviews on Yelp about the service, I think it may have been the first few week kinks of a new place as we were very happy in that department.
This place is a joke. This place is a joke, I made a reservation, for 7, online at the Open Table website. Having not used Open Table previously, I contacted Navya restaurant to confirm the reservation and they informed me it was all taken care of and they were looking forward to serving us. About an hour later I called Navya back because I need to make the reservation for 9 instead of 7, at that time I again, stated the time and date and they again said they looked forward to serving us. Well the next day came, we all got to the restaurant and it was CLOSED!!!! This rating has one star only because I was required to give it at least one star for the review to be published
Horrible service - stay away!.
Stay away from this place! Horrible, unprofessional service and the food is as good/bad as some far better Indian joints in Seattle so no reason to go near this place. Our server seemed very random, kept pushing us to order from the bar... then he forgot part of our order. It took almost 15 minutes to get his attention at times even when there were only 4-5 other tables occupied. There was a very weird funny chemical smell coming from our garlic naan and they actually put lemon in their Dal Makhani!
This is the second time we tried Navya and our experience was bad both times.
Never going back again.
Horrible service, and definitely NOT fine dining, do not be fooled.. Horrible experience, when I read the review I thought it would be a great place to spend my valentines dinner with my girlfriend. it ended up just being an embarrassment. the inside is nothing nicer than a cafeteria. they had RIDICULOUSLY loud Indian techno blasting throughout the restaurant and it definitely is not what I would consider "fine dining" The table was set with a yellowing plastic candle holder with a tea candle in it, and a single wilted rose sitting in a cup. The final straw was when the waitress came out and told us that the Thai chef was out on "emergency" so we were now limited to just the Indian food. That was the final straw. we walked out after being seated and getting our water.
need more staff to service. The Food is good, Ambience is good, but the service is bit poor. they need to put more staff to service better.
Great place. Went to Navya last week with my cousin that is visiting, the food is great the service is beyond awesome very friendly and welcoming, they have a great happy hour don?t miss this place if you are downtown
Great place to go for a romantic dinner.
Navya Lounge is THE BEST INDIAN restaurant in town.
VERY good INDIAN food. The taste is excellent.

Best Happy Hours.
I think this place is great. Went there with my husband for happy hours. We enjoyed great appetizers for only $ 4. Their chicken satay is great. Also their well drinks are only $2.50. Also the view was great. They have really beautiful interiors and wonderful night lighting.
Thank you for your hospitality Navya.
We will see you soon!
Navya Lounge in Seattle, had a great experience.. Had a great time at Navya Lounge and Restaurant. Food was excellent. We had Chicken Vindaloo, Appetizer (Fish fry) and Mali Kofta. We rated it the best Indian food we had so far when compared to Indian restaurants in Redmond, Bellevue, Seattle. We have gone there 3 times so far and look forward to going again.
